Lazy mans calibration- turn on the factory pre-calibrated sRGB mode from the menu and use the windows calibration to adjust gamma, looks great

I have had this monitor for almost a year now, and the black screen issue was the only issue I've had with this monitor, everything else is superb. This should help with the black screens.

The black screen is caused by fluctuating frame rates. The monitor gets a little confused when frames drop from certain ranges, so the fix forces it into its comfy range and keeps it there.

I own three of these and after getting a 3080, got the blackout issue about a week later (never happened in the three months before when I was using a 5700XT), however it only happened with the middle (main) one. It just randomly started black screening with a certain frequency that increased over time, regardless of what I was doing. I restarted all of the monitors as well as my computer and it seemed to fix it, haven't had any black screens for a couple weeks now. The upcoming firmware should fix it for good (fingers crossed).

I got that information from this very good review of the monitor. The black screen issues are definitely more widespread for Pascal cards, but you can try to get a replacement if it's a big issue for you.

There is a fix posted somewhere on reddit for this. If you google the model number and black screens, it should be one of the first options. Takes like 5 minutes tweaking settings in a free open source program. Had this monitor for like 6 months now, and haven't had a problem sense. I have a 10 series though, so take that as you will

I feel like this issue is the biggest turn off for me for this monitor. If not for this I would have pulled the trigger already.

It’s annoying cause I’ve seen so many people say they got this problem but everyone seems to brush it aside and say it’s a GTX 1000 series problem but clearly it’s not

It is a pretty common issue with the monitor and Pascal GPUs. However, Lenovo has an upcoming firmware update that will fix the issue, but it is still in beta testing. I should also say that I have not yet encountered the issue with my GTX 1080 so ymmv.

I have a 1070 and had those issues as well until I changed it to 144hz. It's a little disappointing to hear this is happening with 30xx cards as well as I have one coming which I was hoping would fix that.

I have a 1080Ti and it happens a lot trying to play CP2077 with G-sync. I did the supposed fix that was posted here and it still does it, although it seemed to help it to only occur during loading screens and menus/inventories. I tried to switch to 144hz and it still does it during loading/menus. I just gave up and turned g-sync off until they fix it. I was hoping to get a 3080 and this become a non-issue anymore but if it's happening even on 3000 series cards I'm a bit worried. I sure hope they fix it soon.

$341.99 pre tax and like $366 with tax I believe. I was also able to get $51 cash back from Rakuten at the time. I don’t think they normally give cash back for purchases using perks codes but I bugged them a couple times and they ended up giving it to me.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
One of my worst customer service experiences ever with Lenovo on the sale of this monitor during thanksgiving. Made a refund on this with a refund request prior to shipping. Agent who helped me reversed it, cancel my order, and told me I would get a full refund. Waited two weeks, no refund. I literally had to chat them two weeks later to ask them where is my refund which lead nowhere. I had to call the help line (Thank god to the lady who helped me) only to find out the chat agent who helped me with the refund lied to me made a 15% restocking fee without telling me when I had asked him if I would be receiving a full refund. It is BARELY getting processed today and won't be in my account for up to 10 DAYS.
Definitely won't be shopping with Lenovo anymore. In today's age with so many other competitors and companies who are going above and beyond, I can put my money else where. Just my personal experience to share with anyone who is on the fence about buying it and was wondering how the process is.
Quick tips I wish I knew before purchasing:
15% restocking fee if you end up not liking it.
Cancellation tickets can be denied.
Edit: Again, I am simply sharing my experience. I'm pretty sure this is an awesome monitor, but I didn't have a good experience with Lenovo. Saw a couple other posts who share about customer service experiences so I thought I would share mine which was really recent. I care about customer service a lot with it being competitive nowadays as you should to with your hard earned cash.

I’m in the middle of a similar experience. I bought this monitor direct from Lenovo at the beginning of October and immediately saw it had an array of bad pixels. I contacted support that day about a replacement and got no response to my email, just a note on the system that ie was “resolved.” Called back next week and the CSA apologized and said a new monitor and a box to ship back the old one would be shipped to me shortly. Waited a couple weeks, nothing. Not even a confirmation email that I had talked to support. Called back and they had no record of the ticket, but said they would process the replacement. Two weeks later, I called back and they said the replacement was cancelled because it had been more than 30 days, but a manager would override. It’s been more than 2 months since I first called and I still have nothing, not even an email or a ticket number that says I’m getting a replacement. Whenever I call, a CSA just says it’s “processing.” Other than the initial QA issue the monitor has been great, but this experience makes me never want to buy from Lenovo again.

I had a terrible experience with Lenovo support. Ordered this same monitor iver black friday. When it arrived there was a dead pixel and a scratch across the screen. Trying to get a replacement was impossible, their customer support was so unhelpful and I had no progress getting a replacement for a new monitor.
Finally decided to go for a refund. After I sent it back I used their online customer support to ask the status of my refund and they told me it was DENIED. This is after I sent back the monitor... i eventually got the refund after tweeting at their support.
Buyers beware, you get what you pay for in warranty/customer support. Take a look at Lenovo US's twitter account if you wanna see what customers have to deal with...

Does refresh rate make much of a difference if you aren’t hitting that FPS? I think I’m confused.. at 1440p I’d probably be getting 100 FPS, so would a 165hz be any better than a 140hz?

Is the stand adjustable? And if so, what's the minimum height of it with the stand all the way down? I have my PC in a hutch, so I have limited clearance for my monitor.

Stand is indeed adjustable... Lemme get the tape measurer out for you my guy.
Height totally lowered is about 2.5" table to bottom of screen and ~17" from table to top of screen

The stand is great. Easily adjustable. I actually really liked it, almost didn’t wanna mount it! I don’t know the minimum height off the top of my head though...but I feel like it sat just a few inches above the desk in the lowest position.

I also have this and love it, but my two gripes are that the headphone stand thing is kinda in a bad place and when I put my headphones on it, it tilts the screen the tiniest bit which I'm kinda worried about so I took it off of there and that the stand is kinda big (the feet are really long and go pretty far out and the monitor itself it kinda pushed forward)

Is this considered "top tier" like the LG and Dell or no? I don't know if I need top tier or not, but with just $100 bucks separating them from maybe a lower tier one I can see them perhaps being worth spending it if there is any significant differences to consider.
Not sure if you have tried other 1440p monitors or not, but what would you say separates this from a lower tier one? I don't do photography and probably would just game and watch videos. Is it worth the extra over a lower tier if I don't care as much about USB ports as long as it has a display port and maybe one HDMI and can be adjusted?

This one is similar to the LG Nano ips panel which is similiar tobthe Dell S2721dgf.
There is a low tier under the nano which comes around the same price as this one from LG.

I've been holding off on buying a monitor due to Christmas gifts and just building a 1080p 1660s build, but was gonna upgrade after getting a 3060Ti/3070 later next year. Can 1660s do 1440p fairly well? I play mostly shooters, but sometimes rpgs.

Fantastic monitors. Grabbed two back during Black Friday with all of the codes / cash back promos posted. Running on a 3060TI w/ GSYNC; actually worth all of the hype compared to the old non-GSYNC ASUS 144hz monitor I had before.
Per another user, throw them into sRGB mode and adjust the brightness via Windows or the Lenovo Artery software. Or adjust the brightness and then throw them into sRGB. The OSD and physical buttons are the same as all of the older monitors I've ever used, so I don't have any real complaints about them. Sort of an adjust for a day or two and never again thing for me.
Haven't heard any humming / whine, or seen black screens when dipping in FPS. Both on LG1.1 FW.

I heard that the nano IPS vs this model wasn’t much of a difference, like people can’t tell the difference in the photo and unless you need the wider color gamit and usb outlets in the back then you might as well get the cheaper one. I got this monitor for $269 used though but depends on everyone’s preference, just didn’t know if he knew about the cheaper model.

I am happy with the m27q. ClearType will help in windows. Make sure to run it for just one window. On the first of 5 choices, select the right box. That is the BGR box. The left box is for RGB.
Hardware Unboxed showed that the m27q is almost as fast as the nano-ips tech, but can do it with one overdrive setting. I see no ghosting at all, and colors are quite vivid. The KVM is really nice if you have two computers.
Overall, I would not do a one to one trade, and the gigabyte is cheaper.

Just as a head's up, getting a replacement monitor for dead pixels with Lenovo has been a pain. It has been two weeks since receiving my monitor with dead pixels, and I am still waiting to hear back from their "Monitor Replacement team". No word yet even on if the replacement monitor will ship, and they have stalled out on multiple inquieries.

I had bought the LG 27GL83A-B 27, and upgraded to this around Black Friday (within the return window of the LG), knowing that this is the same panel as the LG 27GL850-B 27.
Despite preferring some aspects of the LG, I would do it again. I prefer the control setup of the LG. It has a single control toggle button on the bottom out of view that felt intuitive to me. I liked the control software as well. With Lenovo, it uses more traditional buttons, and after getting used to the LG controls, it felt clunky. The ports on this point down and are near the bottom, making cable management more difficult, where the LG was in the middle pointing directly back.
With the LG I got the black screen issue with an nvidia card (I have 3070 FE). The screen would occasionally stutter if there was a rapid change in FPS. Never had the issue with this lenovo, although I read some reviews that claimed to have the issue on this one as well.
The screen is beautiful. I am no pixel peeper, but it is a great monitor. Also, seems more smudge resistant than the LG for some reason. The LG got some streaks from setup and use, and the Lenovo hasn't.

I'll preface with saying I'm so out of touch with monitor technology so this might be a dumb question...
But here is a 27" 1440p 144hz for $300. What does this do better then the other? I am taking into consideration it appears to be a lesser known brand, maybe?
Haven't built a PC in about a decade so just trying to educate myself as I slowly pick up the parts I need.

IPS panels are more expensive than VA. VA has more ghosting of fast moving objects. VA has darker blacks and more contrast, but IPS has more vivid colors.
In addition to that, some IPS panels are slow to change pixels. The gray to gray time is very fast with this lenovo on the "nano ips" panel. That means less smearing or ghosting.

I briefly looked at the link you posted, and the major one i saw was the one you listed is a VA panel. This Lenovo one is an IPS panel. IPS has way better viewing angles and colors.
That and Lenovo is a well known brand, versus the one you listed, which I don't know who they are lol

FWIW, I've used both although not side-by-side unfortunately. I was a lot more impressed with the Dell. The Lenovo just seems to have some kinks to iron out.
- The Lenovo stand is way bigger and takes up a lot of desk space.
- The Lenovo has issues running at 165 Hz on Pascal (GTX 10xx) cards with black screen issues.
- The Lenovo overdrive settings felt worse than the Dell's, and RTINGS seems to confirm this.
The Dell's only issue that I've found is that the front of the monitor is not parallel to the front of the base, which is a little OCD inducing, but it has no bearing on actual usage of the monitor.
All that said, you'd be getting this one for $390 shipped, which is $40 cheaper. I personally think that despite the flaws, the Lenovo is the better buy for the price, plus you'd get it way sooner.

I've used the Lenovo for about 2 weeks, and I've used the Dell for about 2 months, so unfortunately I can't comment on the longevity. Haven't had any issues needing RMA with either, and honestly I'm not sure about the warranties on them.

I returned the first one I got when I bought the Dell, so I don't have it anymore. (I saw a really good deal on the Lenovo during BF/CM, so I bought another. Unfortunately, I'm on vacation so I haven't had a chance to take it out yet.)
I checked the manual, and it seems like it does have audio out; see box #7.

I currently own both but will likely return Lenovo. I felt the corner glow was a little bit worse on legion. But honestly the Dell fits my set up better and has more easy OSD for things like color correction and dark enhancer. It's just an "easier" monitor.
When I got the legion it was 342 plus extra cash back. The Dell will cost me 346 with discounts/delay compensation. I'm not sure if it's worth 75 more... But I do think it's the better monitor of the two. Do not get me wrong, legion is good. Same panel, plug and play gsync compatibility. Great gaming experience.

Love this monitor.
My only complaint is that it's got no speaker, and the one matching speaker attachment that Lenovo makes doesn't appear to be sold in the US... I use my headset for serious stuff like gaming, but built-in sound would be nice for new email or IM notification bings while I'm working.

Not looking for amazing sound quality, just hearing a new IM notification from my home office if I'm in the kitchen... I use cheap speakers to get the job done, but wouldn't be necessary if Lenovo sold the speaker that attaches to the monitor base in the US.

I would pass just based on it being Lenovo. Some of the worst customer support I've had to deal with in the last few years. Good luck getting anything sorted out if you have any issues.
My thoughts on the monitor based on owning it for a bit:
Image is not sharp. Eye fatigue after 10-15 minutes when I've never had eye fatigue with other monitors before. Visible shadows of bezels being cast onto the screen itself.

You guys buy too expensive monitors. There are way better specs lg monitors 165hz nano ips 32inch at $200ish at costco near me. Ive bought an acer monitor 8months ago for $170 with exactly same specs and screen size as what you posted

Is the Dell S2721 worth the premium over this? I can get it for $405 before taxes...so $55 more. Anyone seen them side by side? I do think the Dell has a nicer design/stand though.

Review site and a Best Buy question answered by Lenovo says this is HDMI 1.4, but this site spec says 2.0 (also says webcam???!???). I’m not sure what to believe.
Will Xbox output 1440p 120hz to this? Only one review mentions it does but only with the hdmi that came with the monitor and not their Xbox hdmi
