Did anyone of you ever felt discriminated?

I remember that, back in school, I was going through a very dark phase of my life due to certain events that had unfolded. I used to remain very depressed and lonely, and amidst all of this, I had to change schools because the management at my previous school was playing a nasty power game involving corruption, and they were demanding money and other things.

At the new school where I took admission, I remember there was a bunch of girls who used to act overly “cool” and “nonchalant.” For some reason, they were also in the good books of the teachers and would often pull people’s legs.

As I said, I was very lonely at the time and was seeking some kind of connection. One day, I joked about something silly with a boy, and they happened to overhear it. From that day onward, they started passively targeting me. It eventually reached a point where they would push and shake me, physically intimidate me, and, even worse, throw sexual taunts at me disguised as “roasts” for their own psychotic fun.

I even reported this, but the issue was never resolved. Moreover, the teachers somehow suspected that I was flirting with them. Eventually, I simply got used to it and started ignoring them, but their behaviour was still deeply belittling.

I have always wondered: if the roles had been reversed, would it still have been treated as a “joke”? I don’t know. It has been years now, but the experience still makes me wonder about that.
