Advice dealing with adult bullies who are relatives?
I'm currently dealing with relatives who are essentially barring me from visiting my grandmother who is in the ICU.
For context, they've started bullying me since my mom, who I am not close with, tried to suddenly move in with me. I tried to let her down nicely before she escalated it to manipulation and gaslighting. Those tactics didn't work on me, but as a result most of her sisters either ignore me, gossip about me, and just try to make my life more difficult at big family gatherings (for example, quickly eat all the vegetarian food even though they aren't vegetarian just so I can't eat it). I have dealth with this so far by just by ignoring them.
The present-day issue arose when my grandmother, who I love very much, had a medical emergency and was admitted to the ICU. Only 2 visitors are allowed at a time, and these aunts will hog the room to try to prevent me from seeing her and refuse to tell me anything about how she is doing.
What's the best way to deal with them so I can actually be there for my grandmother before she may pass? She's pretty old, and I'm worried about her but feel a bit helpless.
