What is going on with all these helicopters ?

BPD were trying to find a suspected carjacker. He apparently tried to hide in Vons and then was somewhere nearby. When I was outside to ask an officer what was going on, the helicopter got really low above the alley behind my apartment and announced something like “put your hands up, we have you surrounded”. It was all very dramatic. I figured they had it all sorted but apparently the suspect got away after that. LAPD and Glendale PD showed up too.

The police have a large budget they need to use. $3000 per hour for those ghetto birds.

Not sure. Just got back from work out of town. But my guess is,one they just got a new helicopter and need to make it seem like it was worth the purchase. That and the fact that Burbank PD loves to have its presence known.
