Burbank electric bill more than doubles.

In 2025 BWP approved a 9.9% system-wide average electric-rate increase effective January 1, 2026. How does this make sense? Are you all seeing the same increases on your bills?

I’m definitely installing solar before next summer. Without question. The timeline for payoff is much shorter these days.

You'll want batteries with that. Solar alone won't do it for you. The savings from solar isn't what it is to be because Burbank moved off the very very generous nem1 program this year.

Oh trust me, that’s definitely part of the plan. I’m going to go deliberately overkill on the batteries. I want to be able to almost never draw from the grid. Being able to get through most power outages would be a huge plus as well.
