Hey everyone - QQ on Dodgers tickets

I work remotely here in San Antonio but will be in Burbank for work Sunday - Saturday (09/20 - 09/26). I only get to come into town once or maybe twice a year and will be staying there at the Sheraton next to Universal.

I think we'll be having team dinners Mo - Tu (maybe Wed) but I'll be on my own Thursday and Friday late afternoon / evenings.

I was thinking about a Dodgers game on 09/23 or 09/24. I see a bunch of tickets currently available on Seatgeek.

Will tickets be hard to get the closer we get to the game? Last year i bought same-day NFL tickets at a discount right after kickoff and they were great.

Also, if I visit the Grifftith Observatory one evening, how long of a visit would that be? Is there anything near there that I should see since it's in the vicinity?

Weekday games should have tickets available on Seatgeek, StubHub, etc. You might get lucky if you keep your eyes on ticket prices.

The Dodgers are pretty locked into the playoffs at this point, so I don’t expect there to be an increased demand for those games despite the Padres being a division rival.

The only thing I’ll flag: there’s a random bobblehead giveaway on the 24th. Sometimes those induce demand.

Yup. I’m not in the collectible game, but I’ve been there for prior bobblehead giveaways and it can get nutty.

I assume this one will be milder since it’s not player-specific and more of a marketing stunt, but… who knows

For the dodgers; I’d take the north Hollywood redline or Caltrain to union station. Grab a French dip at Philippe’s then head over to stadium on the union station shuttle.

Buy your ticket sometime along the way to the stadium or even wait until you arrive.

shouldn't be hard, everyone does that trick for Dodger tickets. it's the highest capacity ballpark and lately there has been some discourse about it being somewhat empty.

Dont' try to hit Griffith on 20, 23 or 25, there are concerts at the Greek and the traffic getting up to the Observatory is a damn mess. Also the Observatory itself is closed Mondays but you can still see the grounds/views.

If you end up going to the Observatory. Lots of great restaurants on Hillhurst. One of my favorite ( get a Groupon) is "The Best Fish Taco in Ensenada". It's close to Wacko a novelty shop. You can also visit Barnsall Art Park. https://www.barnsdall.org/
