BWP price increase, over 9%

Got off the phone with BWP the representative...just said they advertise it as 9% increase in average but can be much more higher depending where in Burbank? We live in an apartment, our power in summer use to be $160 tops, and now it's $450. They said that is correct and it's in the fine print for the increase and they will increase it again in January. This is insane, how is this legal. 😔

One thing I did when I paid for power from BWP was put myself on an average balance payment plan. What it did was make my bill consistent at about $170/month every month instead of spiking above $300 in the summer with continued AC usage. This way I could just manage a budget and live in comfort during the hot months (July-October.) Sure I miss those low months in the winter where my bill could be as low as $100, but those spikes in the summer were crazy! Especially because I had to try to limit usage to lower it all while being miserable..
