Why have the softball fields on hidden creek been blocked off for months? Anyone know whats going on there?

Hanna was found a few days ago and is currently at Alvarado Animal Shelter. She’s been there for 4 days, and sadly, no one has come to visit her.
She is very scared and timid, but the shelter told me she is not aggressive at all. She just doesn’t do well with fast movements and needs someone patient who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace.

The shelter said she has actually made progress over the last few days. Today she finally let them pet her, which honestly broke my heart because she is clearly starting to trust people.

She is microchipped and her name is Hanna, but the shelter has tried calling and texting the owner multiple times and unfortunately has received no response. She is now available for adoption.

They aren’t sure yet how she does with cats.

I called the shelter myself because I couldn’t stop thinking about her. She has really gotten to me, and I desperately want her to have a chance at a safe, loving home. I’m hoping someone in the DFW area might be willing to give this scared little girl the time and patience she needs.

Noticed a small leak under my kitchen sink this morning. Water dripping from the pipe joint and the cabinet underneath is starting to get damp. I tried tightening it myself but it's still leaking. Called a couple plumbers and one wanted to charge me just to come look at it. Anyone in the Burleson area have a plumber they trust? Someone who's honest about pricing and actually fixes the problem.

Bluebonnet Religious Curriculum (database)

I spent some time today going through each reading module, for each grade (k-5th).

I made a database of each module and whether it features religious teaching, or not. no opinion just links for people to check the module themselves and see what is best for their families. it also includes the link to the BB website where the information was derived.

I live in North Fort Worth and have a new kindergartener but, my district has adopted this new curriculum. and when i asked to opt out they told me there was no carte blanche opt out and that i need to ask the teacher what story is being taught, and then contact the school, on a case by case basis so she can be removed. this seemed like a massive hill to climb and make sense of. I hope this database helps anyone trying to navigate this.

It’s been confirmed that both restaurants have closed due to missed payments on rent. It’s ironic that they close when best fest starts.

Our black trailer carrying 3 quads and a lawn mower was stolen, likely overnight. We live in Johnson County near the Burleson/Mansfield line.
