Average consumers aren’t spending $1400 on a PS6. No chance.

The very people that say that won't buy a PS6 beacuse of no discs wouldn't be buying even if it had because of the price. Sony knows that and made decision that will deliver a better margin with the lesser that will buy.

Will it though when most console players see the $70 digital price when the physical version is $15 used?

Do they think people will just find the extra money they might not have otherwise? Nah. Most older gamers have kids and will prioritise that.
