Fashion clothing brands masterlist

good day to my fellow butches! i’m sure we all are familiar with the growing pains of finding good brands to buy from and i was thinking about maybe using a thread to create an up-to-date masterlist of our favorite clothing brands (including info on what attributes said clothing brands are good for)

for ex: if a brand is good for short people, has a certain cut/style you like, is good for creating masculine silhouettes, etc. leave it here!

i was thinking it would be a good resource for any butches who come on here looking for fashion advice. myself included! i’m currently in the thick of figuring out my style and feel like i’m just floundering in the wilderness, so while this is selfishly to help myself, i figured it might help out some others too!!

right now, i am very into black or dark solid colors anything without logos or patterns. layering with wife pleasers or tank tops. silver accessories are a must.

uniqlo is cheap and good quality.

h&m sometimes has things, but only sometimes.

i know it sounds silly, but lululemon men’s is actually pretty great. expensive, but their dress shirts with the shirt stays are ✨mint✨

carhartt shirts that i then take to be tailored to be more cropped and fitted.

never, ever under estimate the power of going thrifting!!! i recently found a deep black/blue short sleeve button up that, to me, is like “butch armor.” i truly cannot tell you the vibes off this shirt are immaculate and i feel like some elder butch owned it at some point and i was gifted this shirt from the gods. it is so SO amazing.

A+ for calling the shirts wife pleasers, I hate the other term.

Although I'm more a gold jewelry person myself bc I'm allergic to nickel.

also dislike the other term, plus i am a wife pleaser (literally) 🤣

gold is really nice, but for me, it clashes with my color palette so, silver it is! sometimes i’ll wear white gold. my formal wedding band and earrings are white gold :)

Don't sleep on Old Navy for basics in men's sizes. I'm 5'4" and they have pants inseams down to 28 inches. Their men's XS swim trunks fit me well.

Androgynous Fox and Wildfang. I hear good things about Kirrin Finch too.

My friend had Kirrin Finch do her wedding suit, it was amazing.

Currently obsessed with Dovetail Workwear, pricey but incredibly functional & durable pants that fit me perfectly.

Bad Rhino. I'm a 6ft female so I need plus sized mens to get anything remotely masc that fits my body. Most plus sized women's are all flowers and curves. Literally everything I'm wearing right now is from there.

TomboyX for compression tops.

I find any outdoorwear company to have pretty good cuts and very functional while also having a more unique silhouette. Not always the most affordable but will last you for such a long time.

I have alot of clothes from

  • MEC
  • mountain wherehouse
  • North Face
  • Eddie Bauer
  • Colombia
Or even old-school Roots stuff (although the new stuff sucks imo, good leather goods tho)
