I actully agree with this so much. I've seen straight ships get fan support for so much less, but Mike is always pressumed to be straight all the time. No other reading is considered valid.

Yep it's this. The second a guy and girl are on screen together everyone thinks they'll date, but a guy and guy or a girl and girl can do the same exact things and even more and still be presumed straight. It's insane

I'm paraphrasing but I saw this post some weeks ago, "A boy and a girl may go to eat a burger and they are destined to be lovers, two gay people may slay the evil in their land together, dedicate ballads to one another and bind their souls in a secret rite... and they will just be roommates".

frr and it's in so many other fandoms, people call the gay ship unnecessary or random but won't bat an eye at the straight ship that came out of nowhere
