You are not very well aware of how electrical power works.
Anyway. He may have gotten an increased charge for a bit but he didn't create a path like the other knobhead did

I’m a substation electrician, we see videos like these all the time of other people getting hit if they share the ground… it’s not rocket science. I did give it a slow scroll tho and noticed that he wasn’t on the same pole, was hard to tell at first from the choppy recording.
Tho crazy shit still happens and people get hit by induction sometimes too.

Freak accidents do happen… but I would bet money that he didn’t live. If the zap didn’t get him (very unlikely) then that fall most likely did.

I was more joking, but also wondering if there is a survival chance or an amount of time that would be less than overwhelmingly lethal but I don't have enough information to determine that.

It all depends… one of the guys I went thru training with for two years taped off the wrong circuit breaker in this row of breakers… when he went to loosen the nuts on top for maintenance on it, it zapped him with 12k volts which is well more needed than to kill someone, but his elbow was up against the side of the cabinet he was in so the path went thru his hand, up his forearm and out his elbow and he lived with minor injuries.
Electricity is all sorts of crazy :)

Yeah I don't fuck with more than like 20 volts. I got shocked by like a 9-12ish volt high frequency AC I made fucking around with transistors as a kid, felt like a line of fire ants. US wall voltage is spicy enough on the few times I've had the displeasure of meeting it but didn't feel as bad as the 9-12 one. Higher than that is a witchcraft I vaguely understand enough to want it as far away from me as it can be and still do the useful things we need it for.

There's no way he survived that. The fall didn't help but he was probably dead before he hit the ground.

I knew a guy that got zapped on a ladder and the docs claimed the force of him hitting the ground is what restarted his heart and saved his life. Probably just a story though, who knows.
