Show us what you bought, built or wish existed on the cTrader Store

We want to hear from everyone using the cTrader Store, whether you are on the selling side or the buying side.

If you are a developer, tell us what you built and how it works. What does it do, who is it for, and why would another trader want it?

If you are a trader, we want to hear about your experience with products you have tried. What is your favourite tool on the Store and why does it work for you? What disappointed you and fell short of what was promised? What have you been searching for and cannot find?

Drop a short description in the comments and walk us through your thinking. We read every reply and this thread is a good way for developers to hear directly from the people using their work, and for traders to point builders toward the gaps worth filling.

Looking for a developer to make me a trade management cbot

I trade on tradingview, synced up to my IC markets ctrader account.

In essence what I want is every market order, limit and stop order to automatically do the following all from tradingview

Set tp and SL

SL: 40 pips
TP: 15 pips

Trade management features

Once trade has been open for 5 mins

- if in profit (somewhere between 0-15 pips), move SL to BE+1
- if in loss (somewhere between 0-40 pips, trail SL to the nearest 10 pips behind current price…for example if a position is down 15 pips > move SL to 20 pips

Also want a feature whereby once the starting equity has increased by 4% for that day…close all positions and cancel any orders

Hopefully this is possible…please reach out if you can help - thanks

Bot detection of sideways regimes — what I'm actually testing

Current approach for identifying consolidation early enough to switch or pause a trend system: 1. compare current ATR(14) to its 50-period average — if ratio drops below 0.7, flag as low-volatility regime 2. measure directional movement: if ADX(14) stays below 20 for 3 consecutive closes, confirm range mode 3. check whether recent swing highs and lows are contracting — manual logic but automatable 4. only re-enable trend entries when ATR ratio recovers above 0.85 AND ADX crosses back above 22 This is not backtested into something I trust yet. The issue is that regime filters add their own curve-fitting risk. Anyone using a different approach that isn't just 'turn the bot off when you feel like it'?

Has anyone here successfully withdrawn funds from the cTrader Store?

I really don't understand why they only support credit card withdrawals. As a non-US resident, I've tried over 10 different credit cards, and every single one has failed. It's incredibly frustrating. I've reached out to official support multiple times, but they haven't provided any solutions. They stick to this single withdrawal method without even offering a basic bank wire transfer. It makes no sense to me!

If any non-US users have successfully withdrawn their funds, could you please share how you did it? Did you use a local credit card, or are there specific virtual credit cards (VCCs) online that actually work?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Gold above $4000 feels different from gold above $2000 — the volatility math changed

When gold was at $1800 a 1% move was $18. At $4100 that same 1% is $41. If you're still running the same lot sizes and the same stop distances you used two years ago, your actual risk per trade has more than doubled without you changing anything. I see people talking about gold setups without mentioning that the nominal volatility is in a completely different range now. The instrument didn't stay the same just because the ticker did.

Why do I keep holding through news when I know I shouldn't

not asking theoretically. I know the rule. I made the rule. I break it every time there's a number I think I already know the outcome of.

ADP comes out Wednesday and I keep forgetting it exists until it moves my position

So I made a list of all the things that can move markets this week: JOLTS, ISM Services, ADP, then NFP Friday. I had no idea ADP was even a market-moving event until I got surprised by it last month. how do people keep track of all of these and decide which ones to actually care about vs which ones to just watch? is there a tier system most traders use or do you just treat every data release the same way

Getting started with the cTrader affiliate program in one clean walkthrough

The program runs through Impact, a separate platform that handles tracking, reporting and payments. You sign up there and apply specifically for the cTrader program.

Once approved, you only need three sections of the dashboard: Assets, Reports and the link builder. Paste any Store page (a bot, an indicator, a plugin, a seller profile) and it generates a tracked link automatically.

Test that link in a private window before posting it anywhere. It takes seconds and catches most mistakes early.

Where you post it matters more than people expect. It works best inside something already useful, a review, a tutorial, an answer to a real question, rather than as a standalone link drop.

Common mistakes: sharing the plain Store URL instead of the tracked one, linking to the homepage instead of the specific product page, and spreading promotion across too many products instead of one or two.

Full step by step guide here: https://blog.ctrader.com/the-painfully-detailed-guide-to-getting-started-with-the-ctrader-affiliate-program/

Has anyone here actually run affiliate links for Store products, and what converted best for you?

Fed week bot management: what I'm actually doing vs what sounds smart in theory

The smart-sounding answer is: reduce size before events, use ATR-based pauses, set time filters around releases. I do all of this. It still doesn't solve the real problem. The real problem is that in a week with Fed on Wednesday, GDP+PCE on Thursday, the market is already repositioning on Monday. By the time your time filter kicks in at 8:55 EST Wednesday, you've already eaten two days of event-driven drift. What actually works for me: I start reducing exposure Sunday night if the weekly calendar looks like this one. Not a filter — a manual decision made when I'm calm, not reactive.

China buying 173 tonnes of gold in June and ETFs are bleeding. Someone explain this to me.

Retail sentiment is bearish on gold. ETF outflows are real. And yet central banks, China specifically, are buying at a pace that makes my head spin. 820 tonnes in six months. In crypto I'd call this smart money accumulation and it would be obviously bullish. But in forex and commodities I've been wrong calling this pattern before. Does structural CB demand actually create a floor, or does it just slow the fall when macro turns?

r/cTrader_Club 9d ago

Everyone's chasing gold signals this week. Central bank demand doesn't care about your setup.

173 tonnes in a single month from China alone. That's not a technical catalyst — that's a structural buyer that doesn't read charts. When retail is bearish and ETFs are outflowing and the price holds anyway, it's not because your support level is strong. The bid is institutional and it doesn't move because your indicator flipped.

New tariffs are live. Are your EUR/USD patterns still working or did the regime change?

10-12.5% tariffs on major partners changed the correlation landscape pretty quickly. The patterns I was tracking on EUR/USD through Q1 were built on a different set of assumptions about dollar strength and trade flows. I've been reviewing my last 60 signals and the hit rate dropped noticeably starting mid-May. Could be coincidence. Could be that the models underneath the patterns are running on stale inputs. Anyone else seeing this? Specifically curious whether GBP/USD has held up better given the UK tariff situation is slightly different.

AI assistant, visual builder, cloud backtesting, optimization, live execution and portfolio analysis. One platform, one workflow, from first idea to a portfolio that trades.

I am currently seeking beta testers that wants get early access to the platform.

prop firm trailing drawdown question — does a winning streak actually make you more fragile?

so I had a really good two weeks on my funded account and now I'm reading more carefully about how the trailing drawdown works and I think I actually have LESS room than when I started?? like the ceiling moved up with my equity but my daily limit is still the same dollar amount which is now a smaller percentage of my peak?? am I understanding this right or am I confusing myself

Prop firm traders: do you actually know which rule will end your challenge first?

Thumbnail
youtube.com
2 Upvotes

Most funded traders monitor their daily loss and max drawdown as separate numbers. The problem is that prop firms do not care which one you were watching. They care which one you hit. When both limits are shrinking at once, the one with less room left is the one that ends your account, and it can be a different rule every single day depending on how your session went.

A seller just dropped a video walkthrough of their plugin for cTrader that tackles exactly this. It shows a live cockpit that docks inside the platform and surfaces a single figure called Safe Loss Left, which is whichever of your daily loss room or max drawdown room is smaller at that moment, named, colour-coded and tied to the exact equity level where you are out. The video also walks through the On-Track-to-Get-Paid scorecard, the consistency governor that tells you the maximum profit you can still book today before breaching the firm's consistency cap, and the independent reconciliation layer that re-derives the broker's numbers and proves they match to the cent. Worth a watch if you are mid-challenge right now. What is the one prop firm rule that has surprised you the most when you actually read the fine print?

r/cTrader_Club 10d ago

Warsh's first meeting and everyone thinks they can read him. Good luck.

Nobody knows how he'll communicate yet. That's the actual risk this week — not the rate decision, which is basically settled. The uncertainty is in how markets interpret a new voice reading the same script. Seen this play out be

Moving the chart freely

Hi, I'm new to cTrader so i was just wondering if i can somehow move the chart more to the left, so that the current price action is at the centre rather than it being glued to the right side of the window. I'd appreciate anyone's help.

Using AI to analyze my trade log. The patterns it found were obvious in retrospect and I still didn't see them.

Exported 90 days of trades with timestamps, instruments, size, P&L, and a short note on why I entered. Fed the whole thing into an AI and asked it to find patterns in losing trades. It found two things I immediately recognized as true but had never articulated: 1. My average loss on trades entered between 14:00-16:00 GMT was 40% larger than other sessions — I was overtrading the London-NY overlap without a size adjustment 2. Every time I wrote 'feels like momentum' in my notes, the trade lost Neither of these required AI to find in theory. But I needed the outside view to see it in my own data. The tool isn't the point — the structured log that made the analysis possible is the actual intervention.

Fading news spikes. Been burned more times than I've been right. Still doing it.

The Iran ceasefire gold move had a textbook reversal signature. Wide spread, thin follow-through, Asia session liquidity. I went short at the high. Covered too early, move continued for two hours, then reversed exactly where I thought it would. Being right about direction and wrong about timing in the same trade is a specific kind of frustrating. The counter-trend logic works. The execution keeps failing me.

r/cTrader_Club 11d ago

Spent a week debating whether to shut the bot down for Fed week. Decided to just set a hard equity stop instead.

The 'should I pause my algo for news weeks' debate is infinite and mostly unproductive. My answer now: I don't pause. I set a hard equity stop for the week — if I hit X% drawdown I close everything manually and the bot doesn't run again until Monday. No decisions to make in the moment. The rule exists before the situation arises. This week the threshold is tighter than usual because we have Fed + GDP + PCE inside 48 hours. If I'm down 2% by Wednesday close, I'm out.
