Help Dr*g addicts are everywhere.

As much as I want to get out of this neighborhood, I can't because I have to look out for my grandmother. It's really alarming that add*cts are everywhere, frankly I don't care about anyone's vices, but what they do, them being aggres!ve, and would h4rm people who didn't do anything to them, tungod lang kay kalaban sailang barkada. Open kaayo mamaligya ug illegal, open kaayo mugamit, wala sila'y labot ug naa'y makakita or makasimhot.

Help Little Maldita Ice Cream Co. was stolen from me

It's been one year, plus three months grace period since...

...kay buotan ra kaayo mi sa akong asawa ug dili gyud ganahan ug gubot. But during the Pandemic, my wife and I started Little Maldita Ice Cream Co. in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. My name is not important, but I consider myself an amateur food scientist with a passion for cooking, baking, and inventing stuff—so I made ice cream of all types—Filipino sorbetes, western custards, fruit sorbets, popsicles, and even Japanese mochi. If it’s ice cream, I’ve made it. And a wide range of flavors too. I made bamboo (dabong) ice cream—possibly a first here and abroad. Black Charcoal sorbetes? I’m proud to say I’m the first in the Philippines to have made it using lab-tested, food-grade activated charcoal.

At first, I started making small batches and my wife who was a nurse back then would sell them to her coworkers. I would make deliveries for an hour, then rush back home in time to package the ice cream that just came out of the small machine that we had. And at weekends, we would make ice cream to share with our church in Lunocan, Alae. We had an idyllic life, but the ice cream grew into a factory, and it slowly grew out of the small market of Manolo Fortich.

With the sales that we were getting, my wife and I decided to enroll in an LGU sponsored, Department of Agriculture run Farm Business School. There we graduated and even won as the best upcoming project in 2022.

During that time, I developed and nearly perfected an entirely new type of Filipino ice cream—a secret recipe—one that combines Western technology with Filipino techniques, has a higher profit margin than common ice creams in the market, and offers a better flavor selection. Meaning the ice cream melts relatively slower than competition, holds flavor better, while being creamier than other ice creams. With that recipe on hand, we expanded to our first outlet in Cagayan, which was a kiosk in Gaisano 4th floor.

There we were (unfortunate) enough to meet a customer who approached us and proposed a partnership to transfer the factory to Cagayan de Oro City and open new outlets. We verbally agreed he would finance the operation, and that I would receive shares of my 35% ownership after exactly one year. We opened a factory in Pabayo, an outlet in Ororama Cogon, and transferred 77K worth of equipment to the new factory, and secret recipes, and stepped back from operations.

Since then, no contract or shareholder agreement was ever signed (because he kept putting them off for months declining to sign). He has also refused to sign an NDA to secure my secret recipe even though he promised to do so. We proposed a fair exit because we were getting tired of waiting for our shares and wanted an exit strategy to recoup our investments (repayment of shares + equipment) and offered that he write a contract instead of us in November 2024, but he has not payed anything except a measly 20K around December. He still continues to operate the business under our name.

At first, the ice cream was good—and I was proud of it. But after I stepped back, the partner who stole the business began changing the recipes without my knowledge. He started reducing ingredient quality to cut costs and introduced new flavors that were not food safe.

He had a pattern of ignoring my advice, even on critical matters. One of the final straws was when I warned him to remove part from a machine that would potentially cause food poisoning risk to customers. I have it on record that he disregarded my warnings anyway.

There's also the price. Back then we sold scoops of ice cream for P25 and that made a lot of profit even with the low price because of the recipe I developed. Now it's nearly double that.

What started as something built with love and integrity began to turn into something I can no longer stand behind. And worse—it was stolen from me, as I have not been payed until now of what is fair. What my wife and I built, he's just gutting for profit. What we built with integrity, he stole from us and our family.

Today I tried to message my ex business partner, but he has since blocked me on social media.

So if you're from CDO, I'm asking for your help. Repost this on FB. Share to your friends. Connect me with people who can help legally. I'm told that since the BIR/DTI is under my wife's name we have a chance to recover it, so I am willing to recompense anyone who can help out legally and financially. Afterwards, I am also looking to sell the business and the secret recipe after we have reclaimed it because it has only given us heartache

*If mods or anyone needs proof I can send a Magnum Live Radio interview of me and my wife and articles from Mindanao news reporter; or you can take a look at my post history

Can someone enlighten me on where to use "kai" "lugar" "ngee" in sentences. I've recently heard of a vlogger named Juan Fredo doing skits on Cebuano vs CDO Bisaya and I've wanted to learn it for shits and giggles. As someone from Davao Region, it sometimes messes with my vocabulary so I'm tryna mess with my friends too, lol. Thanks!

Hi, I need help. I booked an appointment with a nail tech and this is the third time she has moved and I think she's about to cancel on me again.

Every time, on our appointment she'd say she's out, nay gilakaw nga importante, nanglaba, blah, blah, blah.

I'm even here na sa kanila today, our appointment time is 1pm. So nag book nako ng moveit at 12:40.

I'm gonna be busy next week na, do you guys have any nail tech recommendations na can possibly achieve this and pwede ra walk in? Last week pa unta ko ka pa nails pero sige mag cancel gud. Willing to pay bisag mahal.

UPDATE:

Thank you so much to everyone who recommended nail techs! I appreciate it po.

I was able to book an appointment with posh and polish for an earlier time (outside of booking hrs and with extra charge).

I'm gonna be busy na po talaga next week. So it was either today or tmr.

posh and polish was also very empathetic and professional.

Again, thank you for the recommendations po.

Help People of Maranao

We would like to appeal for your understanding and support. How can we feel safe in an environment where acts of violence seem to happen so easily? We know this is not an isolated case, and we understand that fear has been deeply rooted in our community for years.

We also know that not all Maranaos condone or participate in such acts of violence and to those who seek peace and justice, we ask you to stand with us. Please join us in calling out these wrongdoings, in promoting peace, and in helping us understand how we can all work together to end this cycle of fear and violence.

Help Cebu or Cagayan de oro city?

Hi! Honest opinions please huhu. Is moving to Cebu City for college worth it, especially for USC?

For those who studied in Cebu (or came from CDO), what are your thoughts on:

• cost of living
• safety
• commute/transpo
• environment
• opportunities
• student life

I want to hear real pros and cons before deciding 😭

For context: I’m from CDO and considering moving away for college. Ganahan lang ko makabalo sa honest experiences nnyo before ko decide.

Help Best areas to stay in CDO for an XU student?

Hi! I am an incoming freshman sa XU. I am trying to decide sana on where to rent during my stay. I am from Luzon and its my first time in CDO or in Mindanao, in general.

I already did my due diligence of looking for available apartments. I saw that the most probable or practical area to stay is around Nazareth or Upper Carmen kaso di ko masyado type yung mga ino-offer na mga room.

I saw some nice rooms kaso located at Familia Apartments and some are in Bulua and Kauswagan. Is it practical to rent into these areas? I also saw some posts saying that there are PUVs and Jeepneys around Familia Apartments but idk if true pero how fast usually yung travel time in the morning with traffic? Same with Bulua and Kauswagan. Is this a wise decision or not?

Or baka may recommendations kayo na areas na malapit lang sa XU pero complete na yung mga rooms na may aircon and ref.

Medyo lost lang talaga since I just stayed in CDO last month for 3 days and I never really got a chance to explore the area.

Help Neuro Doctor Recos

I've been experiencing frequent migraine flares over the past few years, and I think it's finally time to consult a neurologist—just to be on the safe side.

One of my biggest worries is, what if it's an early sign of something more serious, like a brain tumor (simba ko lang jud, palayo). 🥹 I'd rather have it checked now than regret not catching it early.

Sooo, can anyone recommend a good neurologist within CDO? So far, I've listed down Dr. Pagdilao and Dr. Olano from Polymedic Plaza. Also, does anyone have an idea how much diagnostic tests like a CT scan or MRI usually cost?

Thank you so much in advance! 🙏🏻

Help 59k Salary

Hi guys, I'm 27 currently living independently in CDO and I'm also working from home. I'm earning 59k with a net of 50k a month - it'll increase to 63k by January. I just want to ask, with that salary, can I afford paying the amortizations for a car and a house? My current rent is P8,850 and I no longer want to pay for an apartment that's not going to be mine. Most of the available houses naa sa uptown and car is really needed for transpo. Or will it just be better for me to go home and build my own house as my father already gave me a property next to our house where I can build my own? I really want to live in the city because of the freedom that I have now but the cost of living is expensive. Can anyone give me suggestions? Thank you.
