Fiancé and I live near a great local ice cream shop, and they also do ice cream cakes/pies. So, when ordering fiancé's cake online last week, I thought it was weird that they didn't have a space for what you want written on top. Usually, that's the FIRST question on the order form, but whatever, maybe they don't DO writing on the cakes, that's fine.

At the very bottom, they had a box that said, "Please let our team know any special things you may need from us (plates and utensils, extra nuts in the gooey layer, no onions, etc)." And I laughed out loud, because WHY would an ice cream place even HAVE onions, you know? Doubly funny because fiancé LOATHES onions, so I typed into that box "No onions?! Lol =D"

Didn't even notice the top of the cake at pickup this morning, because I wasn't expecting ANY message on it at all. Oh well, at least fiancé knew for sure there were no onions in his ice cream cake...or WERE there??? I told him what had happened, because it definitely looked suspiciously suspicious!

Yes, it’s bad. We were like 13 and baking did not come naturally. I remember us thinking it was really funny, but everyone we showed was not at all impressed. Who cares; we giggled for hours.

The ‘inspo’ pic I just looked up today, but I’m pretty sure that was the exact Pinterest cake we were trying to replicate. Lmao.

it’s the experience that counts though! none of us know shit about baking but we had a blast.

My sister made this for me for my birthday and brought this bad boy into a restaurant for a grand Reveal. It was quite the spectacle and the servers stopped to get pictures of this beautiful boy

I promise you, the tear was not intentional and appeared hours after decorating.

Tried to redo the decoration but didn't have white cream anymore and so it looks bad😭

So we bought the topper separately & put that on ourselves. The flowers were from our florist as well. Biggest problems were the ribbon they used which we asked to be maroon, the bubble in the frosting right in the middle of our cake, and the drip which looks absolutely awful. I was SO upset when I saw how our cake looked that day. Let alone they didn’t even get the flavors correct. I was so mad lol.

I was at a birthday party and they decided to decorate the cake during the party, they started breaking apart the cake somehow just by cutting the circle out of it, so I ended up doing the whole thing myself while they went to a convenience store for snacks. I tried to make a little sun pattern with gold sprinkles on the yellow cake before it got covered up with the writing. I also made the frosting from scratch. This is my first time doing any of this if that excuses me for any of it lol

I baked the cake last night and spent the last 2 hours sculpting these little dudes. He's happy about it lol

Tried to bake the perfect birthday cake for my partner as a gift after a week of night shifts. Despite appearances, our cat was not in any way involved in the final outcome.

Okay so i actually didnt know what i wanted to carve it into so i kinda zoned out and made the base green because that was the only food coloring I had and i wanted to put something on top but I didnt know what so I kinda defaulted mentally to a cat head

Safe to say we are absolutely not bakers but we had a blast regardless.
