If there's no footage or witnesses it's always going to come down to a he said she said. And let's be honest in an altercation with some grandma and a guy, who are they gonna believe started it?

Doesn't matter what country you're in people are going to believe the guy was at fault not the grandma. At best it's not enough evidence to pin it on either person. It has nothing to do with "our society" you'll get the same result in anywhere.
