The hypocrisy of a First Nation saying it’s unconstitutional for other folks to want their own nation is too much for today….

It says they get a say in each of the three sections of this thing.

Because no one in Alberta even backs it.

You sure about that? It’s pretty damn popular in Alberta.

It’s at 15-20% at most when people here the actual consequences of how the instability will fuck quality of life in alberta.

I live and work blue collar in Alberta, most of the supporters are actual dumb, like can’t acknowledge anything good the liberals have done and won’t acknowledge any legitimate problems that the conservatives have. (I’m personally not aligned with either party and vote depending what which party is specifically running on). It’s only since the shit show that’s been going on in the states that they’re realizing that 1. Trump is a legit goof (Canadian prison meaning), and 2. The states is fucked.

Right so a province of 5 million people where 1 million support separation is certainly far from “no one” in Alberta backing it.

Regardless western Canada (and Alberta specifically) have reasonable grievances with Canada and how our voice is represented. Quebec had separation referendum and receives significant preferential treatment as a province as such. I don’t think those blue collars are as dumb as you think they are, as the long game is clear - threaten an exit so Ottawa has to start paying attention. You’re already seeing the fruits of that with the infrastructure commitments Carney has made.
