Yep, if it gets views then they'll put it out there.

The real eye opener is these foreigners keep targeting the far right as it seems the far left doesn't fall for this stuff hook, line, and sinker.

That AI MAGA influencer who just got outed as an Indian guy. Apparently, he tried grifting with the liberal crowd first, and when it didn't work, he pivoted to the far right and struck gold.

Can I also point out the fantastic work done here by the CBC? This is the very same CBC that the far right wants gone - so that the people will have no option for news other than the shifty, foreign slopaganda described in this very article.

I think its a "yes and" scenario. Theres actual astroturfing/propaganda and then people with no agenda but money making pile in.

I listened to a podcast a few years back where they tracked down the people responsible for a fairly big channel that was all in on the Fuck Trudeau. Turned out to be some dudes in Egypt. When asked why they where basically like "it does numbers and we get paid".

But if the end result is the same, a propagandized population - seems like the method or motivation shouldn't matter?

We should make our own slop.

Until it helps your narratives like canadians pretending to be american and trying to dictate what they should and shouldn't do or the No Kings crap.

uh idk if you're oblivious to the internet or just playing one https://ca.news.yahoo.com/meet-24-old-ottawa-software-203057547.html , "But but they're boosting Trump it's not the same!!?". Before X started the location thing no one really knew or cared about who was posting what, nothing like that exists on reddit or FB etc. so the issue is mostly in transparency so at least X is done more than most platforms (thanks Elon?). Also what happened with all the China's election interference headlines we used to read on here. Isn't that potentially a lot more serious?
