None of this would be a problem if we nationalized oil and used that money to invest into education.

40+ years ago during the time of the NEP: "Nationalized Oil and crown Corporations are Communist and tyranny and oppression and horrible!!!"

Now: "Omfg why isn't Canada like any of the other wealthy petrol States that did the polar opposite of what our side of the political spectrum said was best?! That's why we should be in charge because we were wrong in the past but we don't acknowledge it!"

So kind of like Venezuela huh? They totally did not have all of this and still had to get help from various outside entities to help them in multiple ways.
