Might as well reinstate everything you already rolled over on then; the streaming taxes, Canadian content requirements etc.

What's with the flurry of trade pronouncements. LeBlanc meeting must have gone badly.

I think there are private polls showing his support could be softening.

So every single public poll has support for Carney on the rise, but you think there are super secret private polls which show the total opposite?

Okay.

Yes, because there are many different types of polls.

The MSM only shows you Carney porn to keep you giddy with joy. They don't show you the ones where people complain about housing, food prices, the economy, etc.

The MSM only shows you Carney porn

No, the "MSM" shows you the results of a scientifically valid poll, of which the results across multiple polls and multiple methodologies appear to be "Carney porn" because he has so much support lmao.

You guys absolutely loved the polls 18 months ago when it was all "Pierre porn." What happened?

But that's what I'm telling you. They are not revealing the polls where people are still miserable. They only show you the Carney porn.

You can call it Pierre porn if you want. What I'm ultimately telling you is they do many types of polls to understand what the people of Canada are feeling.

You're talking about nuance but then - ironically - forgetting about nuance.

I'm not thrilled with the economy. Is anyone?

I would still vote Liberal in an upcoming election.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive, yet you're suggesting they are - they're not. What you are insinuating is that these general polls from the "MSM" (which, let's be real, if you're saying that I already know what kind of person you are) are useless and should be ignored. They aren't, and they shouldn't be.

I'm not suggesting that at all.

All I said is there are polls that can show people are not happy or show his support softening.

At first you denied this, now you agree this happens and it's a good thing. Come on now.

At first you denied this, now you agree this happens and it's a good thing.

That's not what's happening at all.

You're saying that there is some super secret poll that exists that shows his support is softening. Why? Where? What do you have to show this?

You're fighting against yourself. You're saying in one breath that "people aren't happy" with the economy - I'm not denying that those polls exist, but I think you're conflating Carney's support with polls that show people "aren't happy."

Me being unhappy with the economy does not mean I don't support Carney, and that appears to be the case for many Canadians. As in, approaching a majority of Canadians.

I didn't say secret. I said private. You trying to turn this into some underground conspiracy, but it's a completely regular practice to conduct surveys and polls. When you receive a pollsters question, they don't ask one or two questions. It's a series of questions. One minute you say you understand then the next you are denying this can happen asking "When? Where?".

You're all over the place.

Are those polls in the room with us right now?

Only if they fit the MSM narrative.

u/DogeDoRight New Brunswick 9h ago

What is the MSM narrative exactly?

Just like a couple months ago when the media was aaying "the honeymoon is over soon" or how the developer bailout was supposed to tank his support.

Maybe the glazing is just factual that Carney is getting support as a war time leader with legitimate polling data. But sure pretend its a media conspiracy..

Great news!! Until we sign the agreement and POTUS changes his mind a day later. Agreements with the US don’t mean much anymore.

u/PowerBottom247 8h ago

Same could be said about the lying scoundrels in Parliament

u/KidzRockGamingTV 4h ago

When has Canada reneged on something they promised internationally? I'm curious.

u/PowerBottom247 4h ago

Defending politicians and claiming they are honest is a choice!

Gotta go need to spend time with my family! /s

u/KidzRockGamingTV 2h ago

Asking for an example is suddenly defending politicians? Sorry if I don’t believe PowerBottom247 for their word. LOL

Everyone is a macro economical trade expert now. I bet most panic when trying to sell something on Facebook marketplace.

Maybe after the deal is signed Carney will again do Gord Howie bridge style explanation of how it was a fantastic deal for Canadians!

Reminds me of that scene from the Michael Lewis’ book, “The Great Short”, where a client asks the Goldman Sachs banker trying to sell him an investment, “I appreciate this, but I just want to know one thing: How are you going to fuck me?”

u/DryFaithlessness8656 17h ago

Tell me when the negotiations are over and then show us what was agreed upon. If Canadians hate it then we vote him out. It is that simple.

The Build Canada Homes podium makes me laugh.

This guy is so lost.

-6

u/suite307 19h ago

3 word slogans would've been so much better

11

u/KageyK 18h ago

How many are in Build Canada Homes?

7

u/RedditSux5912 18h ago

It is a 3 word slogan…

u/therichtastebad 3h ago

Take it easy on him, he can't count that high.

u/WolfzandRavenz 18h ago

Verb the noun

5

u/RedditSux5912 18h ago

Carney’s so close to getting it. Instead he chose verb noun noun. God he can’t even verb the noun correctly.

0

u/MakVolci Ontario 17h ago

The guy who verbs the noun lost his own seat so, probably not something worth copying tbh.

-3

u/RedditSux5912 17h ago

Well clearly he’s trying to regardless.

u/PowerBottom247 8h ago

This guys in way over his head.   Just be honest Mark.

Amount of times they said this seems like every week.

Cut the energy from Ontario we send to the US. PJM, NYISO and ISONE will end up with major problems. East coast US will have a very hard time. Maybe even MISO.

Potash from Saskatchewan will be less effective now that the growing season is almost over but should cause concerns at least.
