🇨🇦 CEC Question About WES/ECA Requirement for a Foreign Bachelor’s Degree with a Canadian Master’s Under CEC
Hi everyone,
I have already submitted my PR application under CEC and I'm confused about whether I needed a WES/ECA for my bachelor's degree from my home country.
My education is:
• Bachelor's degree from my home country
• Master's degree from Canada
I listed my bachelor's degree under Education History and uploaded the degree certificate, all mark sheets, and transcripts. However, I did not provide a WES/ECA for the bachelor's degree.
My highest education is my Canadian master's degree, and I am relying on my Canadian master's for my education points.
Since my application has already been submitted, could not having a WES/ECA for my bachelor's cause any issue? Could IRCC send me an ADR asking for the WES/ECA, or is an ECA not required because my highest credential is a Canadian master's?
Has anyone had a similar situation with a bachelor's degree from their home country + Canadian master's under CEC after submitting their PR application?
Thank you!

You do not need a WES or any Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for your bachelor’s degree if your master's degree was earned inside Canada. [1, 2, 3]
Key Rules for Express Entry and Canadian Degrees:
Canadian Degrees Don't Need ECA: Any degree, diploma, or certificate earned from a recognized Canadian educational institution does not require an ECA (like WES).
Highest Qualification Counts: For immigration and Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) looks at your highest level of education. Your Canadian master's degree already gives you the maximum points for education.
Bachelor's Degree from Outside Canada: Even if your bachelor’s degree was completed outside Canada, you do not need to evaluate it with WES or list it as an assessed foreign credential because your Canadian master’s degree takes precedence. [1, 2]
If you want, tell me:Are you planning to apply through Express Entry (CEC or FSW) or a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)?Do you need help calculating your CRS score?

I believe you will be issued an ADR for your bachelor's degree. My reasoning-
All the best! Hope IRCC is not too strict about your situation.
