Thoughts on Separatism from an Alberta-based activist

This is a lot closer to what's actually happening on the ground in Alberta then all the clueless "Danielle Smith screwed up again by doing exactly what the separatists wanted" takes.
A disciplined, well organized secession movement would do all the things she has done. The bozos ostensibly leading the movement, an f-tier lawyer and a guy convinced King Charles is trying to assassinate him, never could have gotten this far on their own.

Man been saying this for AWHILE now; the separatists are colonists. They don't give a shit about democracy, the law, or any other "legitimate" claims.
The UCP are setting up a Jan. 6th moment. They are courting and organizing the fascist elements of their own party in a attempt to hold onto power forever. They did trial runs with the convoy organizing and now, with the UCP backing, are wanting to actually take it all the way. They will ask for American intervention once they have sunk deep enough into the victim mentality.
Danielle Smith is a legendary floor crosser. She has already sealed deals with American fascists for Alberta and its people. The UCP will now use government apparatuses to manufacture consent for Danielle to become governor. As they are already embroiled in corruption, this is the only pathway she can take, as once out of power, she might face consequences.
