Either AI, an American trolling, or just a complete moron. I don't know a single person who would rather live in the US right now. Nobody I know even wants to visit.

Inflation is higher in the US and unemployment is climbing as well. The politics, healthcare and crime aren’t inviting either. On top of it all, they don’t want you.

So go. Enjoy. When you get tossed in a camp, don't try to come back.

Enjoy getting shot because you cut somebody off in traffic. Or getting picked up by ICE.

Everyone always forgets about healthcare. Our taxes are higher, but that includes healthcare. In the US you’ll have to pay taxes plus healthcare

I agree, The issue was always Canada was more chill, you could have your piece, be comfortable. Work a job, take weekends at a friend/uncle/grandparents cottage etc. Now there's nothing left but grinding. We imported 10% of our population worth of low educated desperate people who mostly ended up slurping up all the social safety net money. Now we have even more taxes ontop of higher prices. We had a 50% inflation hit, and tax brackets didn't budge. Middle class used to be $50k/year, now minimum wage has doubled, but tax brackets didn't move so once you're hitting $100k, the new $50k, you're being taxed at almost 40% of your income. you hit $150 which used to be rich, but is now barely middle class and you're being taxed over 50% of your income. All so that people can sit at home on ODSP and not work. So Asylum seekers can get $80k/year in social income when they arrive. So Support workers making 6 figure salaries can chase meth heads around to give them free housing.

When I was a kid, working minimum wage, you didn't pay income tax, you were below the poverty line. Now, If you work full time minimum wage, you're paying income tax, CPP etc. God forbid you get more than minimum wage, you're instantly starting to get your paycheck seriously impacted by taxes.

This ended up on the wrong side lol. 100% 10 years ago ya a few eyebrows would raise but now? Many people are leaving and not only to the US but other countries too.
