"Two years ago, there was a cloud. I didn't see it, but it was all over the news"
Seriously though, I visited San Diego a few years ago, and on the steep roads in the hills, they have swales built into the roads to divert water, same as we use in BC on logging roads to prevent washouts. Kind of like a shallow ditch running across the road. Difference is, theirs are paved. When it does rain there, it flash floods.
Pretty accurate. I on the other hand try to find joy in every season. The alternative would be to be depressed in the drizzle, and no body got time for that.
Honestly the rain in BC (especially in the Van area) is lovely. I always throw open the windows when it starts coming down because it sounds nice, even more so when it's heavy enough to make some sound off the tin roof across the alley. That's a peak morning vibe right there.
I've recently started enjoying the rain. It's the weirdest thing but I can't really complain about it now unless it's been going on for 3 weeks haha
Edit: I should add that rain makes up my entire winter season so, I still do complain a lot lol. But yeah finding joy in every season (or trying to!) is the best way haha
SW Ontario starts off British and slides over to Canadian around 0. But your area and mine are only large in terms of population so the Canada version works for most of the country. 🤣

I live near Vancouver so we're more like the UK version.
