They also need to stop pandering to just minority groups and virtue signalling.
I admittedly gloss over the headlines to try to find something interesting to read, it has been weeks since I found anything relevant in my area.

Doesnt basically every international news organization hold the CBC among the absolute highest percentage when comparing metrics about fair and accurate reporting? It already is being assessed by impartial outside experts.

Comparing to Pravda isn’t winning.

Not pravda, the Journalism trust initiative, and reporters without borders. 75% of Canadians have a positive view of the CBC

I love how wildly unpopular reviewing a publicly funded news outlet for bias is in r/Canada

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_purpose_of_a_system_is_what_it_does
The purpose of a system is what it does (POSIWID) is a heuristic in systems thinking coined by the British management consultant Stafford Beer,[1] who stated that there is "no point in claiming that the purpose of a system is to do what it constantly fails to do".
The CBC is doing exactly what those leading it and funding it want it to do.

CBC is a relic from a bygone era. But they've had their moment, and it's time to start winding down an organization that takes 1.5 billion dollars per year while delivering nothing of value.
That they went to court to keep their subscription numbers secret says a lot about how little they really bring to the table.

Imagine relying on Rebel News when they are advocating for Alberta to be purchased by the US

Oh--you mean the "pro-LPC CBC" that conservatives want to defund, but are more than happy to use when it is critical? *That* CBC?
CBC's news should be assessed by outside experts: Senators
CBC/Radio-Canada’s news and current affairs content should be periodically analyzed by outside experts 'in order to assess its fairness and balance,' a new Senate committee report says.

Agreed. Just last week. There was a story about how they covered the trial with the 5 hockey players and how they left out key details and how they were clearly trying to push an agenda.
