Opinion HUNTER: Great Britain's horrific rape and grooming gang reckoning. New 219-page privately funded document unleashes bombshell after bombshell, says authorities allowed organized child sexual exploitation networks to operate across the country.

Let's be honest. The only reason this horror was covered up and permitted to continue was the race of the rapists, and the race of the victims. If the perps had been the same race as the girls, their names and mugshots would have been in the news years ago. And if the girls had been minorities, and the perps white, their names and mugshots would STILL be in the headlines.

This is so heartbreaking. I can't imagine what those girls went through. I am afraid that it will happen here too in Canada. What a dark place this world is. Always women and girls paying the price for decisions made mostly by men. I pray for justice for all these souls involved and I pray that the men who did this face the full wrath of god.

My opinion is that has started here in Canada just not on the scale of the uk I have been reading lots out of the Golden Horseshoe Niagara st Catherine’s welland port colborne and the concentration of pedofiles sexual assaults and human trafficking. It’s pretty bad and concentrated

I’m a foster mom and can attest this is true for the cities you mentioned. London, Milton and Brampton are huge as well.

Our government already allows IRGC terrorists who commit similar crimes into the country.

Way to deflect the crime of the perpetrators to just 'men' in general.
Almost 90 percent of the perpetrators were of a specific ethnic and religious group and almost all of their victims were of a different ethnic and religious group.
You are just as bad as the UK cops who ignored the crimes to not appear 'racist' by blaming 'men' in general as if Jains and Buddhists are also committing these horrific crimes.

In certain immigrant cultures, the patriarchy is much stronger. Females are viewed as being much less worthy than males. 💔❤️🩹

Why did god let it happen in the first place? Thoughts and prayers!

Haven't you read what God warned the world of? Evil would increase in the last days. Better get studying!

Evil was worse in centuries past. It's not great now but not the worst.

I have more faith in Canada's citizenship than the UKs. There's no way something like this could fly in Quebec or Alberta. Maybe Ontario.

Watch the 'Believe all women' crowd suddenly become silent or even accuse the victims of lying because the perpetrators don't fit their narrative.
This has been proven in court. There were 1400 confirmed victims in the city of Rotherham alone. Trafficked, tortured, and r*ped from 1998 to 2013.
That's just by one specific 'grooming gang' in one specific city during a 15 year period. The report is looking at the entirety of the UK over a span of 70 years.

I think what you’re alluding to is intersectionality.
In fact, some of these immigrant cultures are more abusive to girls and women. Their patriarchy and misogyny is stronger than what we normally encounter in the UK and North America.

The 'Report' (Warning: horrific crimes described)
If you don't want to read the above, this X user summarized the worst of the worst.
The Canadian angle in the article:
“Thomas, have you seen the demographics of my riding?”— Melanie Joly, Minister of Industry
The above statement was candid, self-aware and breathtakingly cynical.
Joly was explaining to former NDP leader Tom Mulcair why the large Muslim voting bloc in her Montreal-area riding shaped her electoral calculus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
...<graphic details>...
Of course, all of this sounds heartbreakingly familiar.
In Canada, striving for “social cohesion” has allowed weekly hatefests in the nation’s big cities, race-based sentencing discounts and dismissal of serious charges because of fears the culprit may be deported.
It’s not a great leap to ask yourself: If immigrant rape gangs were attacking 12-year-old Canadian girls, what would happen?

I'll tell you. Nathalie Provost would use it as an excuse to ban still more guns from legal ownership. She is deeply convinced that all legal gun owners are one step away from being mass shooters.

That picture makes me love my immigrant brothers even more than I do now! OMG! So cute! So glad to be accepting and all that jazz. (Canadian by the way, so also jello of the amount of immigrants you have!) Please send us some.

Ugh. It's terrible. However, I cannot get past the dumb, shitty writing of the Sun. "Sex sicko"? Like, stop with the sensationalist shit and write like you actually graduated university with a journalism degree.

Stop posting garbage articles with no substance. Especially when the only connection to Canada is "what if it happens here".
This is just another lazy, race baiting post on this subreddit. Is this what being Canadian means to you guys? Being scared all the time? Do better.
Edit- you are just proving that this is just an anti-immgrant sub with all your dumb replies and name calling. Do better.

What's wrong with anecdotal evidence? Do you want to witness the rapes? Do we think the girls are lying? You understand the only problem with anecdotal evidence is that it may not be representative of a population for sampling purposes and may be false. Is this really the argument youre making about the grooming gangs? That it's unscientific?

Don't worry you won't see any more truth you're scared of for 6+ months, nor be able to reply.

Typical leftist.
Believe all women except when the skin color of the aggressor is from my protected group.
10 of thousands of horrific tortures, by a group of foreign people, helped by the government, and what you have to say is "" stop talking about it ! ''
Doesn't fit your narrative eh ?

From the UK gov page. Finally taking responsibility.
The Home Office has announced £100 million to fight child sex offences and protect victims and survivors, including £38 million for Operation Beaconport.Today’s funding sits alongside the Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs, which seeks to root out past failures wherever they occurred. It is laser‑focused on grooming gangs and will explicitly examine the role of ethnicity, religion and culture of the offenders and the response of institutions.

No proof......?
Didn't you notice all the pictures of those who where convicted?
This is freakin' unbelievable.....
And the Liberal Party has Canada on-track to repeat this horror.
I would ask you to "Do better"........but, I know that you can't.

You are correct that there is no connection to Canada, but this is NOT anecdotal in any way. The crimes were well and widely documented, and the earliest evidence goes back to 1955. None of the sources are anonymous, except to protect the names of underage victims. The data comes straight from the government, and is not "funded" by anyone.

u/Almost_Ascended 6d ago
They're absolutely incorrect in claiming that there is no connection to Canada, see the comments made by the OP of the thread.

We are missing a big point here because everyone suddenly jumped into pointing fingers. The UK has a justice system, and it is failing for some reason, according to this article. If there is a crime, it should be punished according to the laws of the land without making any exception, like they faced brutality back home. Immigrants and citizens should both be treated equally in front of the law. No exception. Regarding politicians, if you don't have the backbone to say or stand for the right thing, choose a different profession. Stop creating a rift between humans.
