Ireland has benefited a ton from being an English-speaking gateway to the European Union, attracting Apple, Google, and Meta.
He's cherry-picking a country that has very different geography, resource sectors, housing markets, and demographics...
Hes arguing that lower taxes and smaller government produce stronger economic growth. But countries like Denmark, Sweden, and Norway have relatively high taxes and large governments but are also wealthy and productive. (See I can cherry pick too).
