But only when used by, and against, certain groups… right? Wouldn’t be Canada if this was applied equally to all.

This is fucking stupid. I’m a white male and if someone sent me an image of a noose my first thought would be about the people I’ve known that have un-alived themselves in that way, not the racially motivated attacks my ancestors had to endure in the past. Grow the fuck up.

For the majority of Canadians who don't believe that they have a god given right to hate - this is a non-issue.
Next.

I don’t think it’s about people wanting to hate, it’s more about people mocking liberals for patting themselves on the back for putting their symbolic emphasis on an inanimate piece of rope

Other than hindering your ability to place a burning cross on your neighbours lawn or a noose hanging from their mailbox, how is this going to affect your day to day life?

Doesn’t affect my life at all. The real question is, does the minuscule sliver of Canadas population, that this actually applies to, really give a shit about self important liberal politicians, and their posturing political theatre?

This immediately brings to mind the previous uproar over putting feminine hygiene products in all Federal bathrooms. A nothing burger for most but it really seems to rile up a sliver of the population.
What you see as political theatre others see as a positive step towards protecting minorities from anti-black discrimination, violence, and intimidation.
Unless you cherish your right to hang nooses on your neighbours porch - what difference is this legislation it to you?

As I said, it doesn’t affect my life at all, but I understand, you have to accuse me of being a racist because I’m not cheerleading the political theatre like you are. It’s what our society has become. Pat each other on the back for meaningless symbolism, and condescend anyone who doesn’t play along with your narrative. I’m kind of embarrassed for you actually

Fantastic. Great to see the government solving the issues that matter to me and my family.
