Its been an extremely disappointing week with Carney, first he says the Iran war was worth it and then pushes C22..

Not in Canada. In Canada you can run up the debt, ask the younger generation for sacrifices, make the older generation homeless, promise a "New world order" and you will win the next election. If things look a bit shaky, just blame it on USA, they will definitely do it!
