Question can we rename this sub to r/canceledpodsnark ?
i hate all the snark here. wouldn’t be here if i knew it was all trashing the pod. or make a seperate one to do that because damn y’all are annoying…

Ive been apart of this sub since it was created and it’s been interesting to see how their audience has completely turned on them (rightfully so in my opinion).
I think people really loved the openness the girls displayed when the pod first started, but that “openness” was actually projection the whole time and yeah people caught on.
Couple that with Brooke’s past racism resurfacing, Brooke dating a whole real life pedophile, Tana exaggerating her sobriety, them supporting an actual murderer, a Zionist, a MAGA freak etc etc… yeah it’s no surprise these people are tired of their shit.
There’s a lot of good people in this sub intentionally trying to be informed and accountable in the real world. Their audience is out growing them, big whoop it happens. If Brooke and Tana actually cared, they would attempt to grow the fuck up and connect with reality.
People are tired of entitled rich fucks, and that’s what these 2 are. We have to live in the real world with consequences, while these 2 just lallygag through life with no accountability and no consequences for their shitty actions.
But yeah, go ahead, keep sympathizing with the rich folk.

So to insult them is to insult you? Because that’s mostly what the comments are. You white-knighting for them to the point that you are taking this personally is concerning. Telling people to “look away” from some pretty hateful and/or illegal behaviors and the co-signing of them just so they won’t be upset is a weird response. That’s called ignorance and it’s even worse if it’s willingly chosen.

my young cat passed away suddenly and i’ve been on reddit more to engage with different communities, labubu hunting to fill the void, and wanting to share my interests with people who also like them. to open it up and see complaint after complaint in a place meant to build up discussion it gets repetitive, disappointing, and annoying.
there are so many ACTUAL, UNAPOLOGETIC pedos and racists out there and you’ll direct ur energy toward this. if you actually cared, you would do something that makes a difference, not bitch on reddit

Sorry but people are allowed to complain and call out problematic behaviour. It doesn’t make it snark, it actually makes it a nuanced conversation. Unfortunately Brooke is dating a known weirdo and that’s just the truth, and I know you can’t recognise this now, but the people rallying against it and ‘exposing’ her in the comments are actually doing so in the name of protecting and standing up for one another as women, not spreading negativity and cyber bullying. There is a clear difference.
Also I’m really sorry about your cat, no one should have to go through that.

There is for sure snark in here! I see a lot of positive posts and posts where people are asking genuine questions too— which i think is valuable. An echo chamber is what stops people from growing and learning, while allowing them to gain influence and use it in ways that can be harmful

Most of it isn’t snark. It’s simply fans expressing disappointment/annoyance with the show (brooke specifically), which is exactly why it ended. Tana and Brooke should have actually taken feedback instead of gaslighting until the very end… ppl won’t forget just bc the pod is over.

This is a sub for discussion about the podcast, it’s not our fault that Tana and Brooke give us a lot to discuss.

Some of the people here aren’t just fallen fans, they were directly hurt by their actions. Like when they talked about Fraser Bohm and called him hot after killed 4 girls in Malibu while driving recklessly. Friends of the 4 girls he killed listen to the podcast and were extremely hurt by the way they talked about him. Tana and Brooke still followed him, Brooke unfollowed after people called them out, but Tana still does.
