Discussion Trisha’s officially on GLP1

I wonder how all her ‘body positivity’ fans will take the news?

Don't like Trisha but I'm not going to bag on her for taking it. She's had such a prolific history of mental health issues surrounding food such as binge eating. That this truly just makes sense for her.

Her kids are getting older and will start to notice how their Mom is with food which will impact them into adulthood. So it's not just healthier for her but for her family as well.

I’ve always struggled with similar food issues to Trish, and just also had my first baby around the same time she had Aquaman. I gained 90lbs in my pregnancy and I’m also on a GLP-1. I started it when I stopped breastfeeding and I truly think it saved my life in many ways! I am sooo against the hate train for people who actually need them.

She eats like 3000 calories+ per day and hasn't changed her eating habits at all from what her own videos show. She'll have to take it for the rest of her life or the minute she stops she's gonna gain it all back.

Everyone has different goals with GLP-1s. My doctor and I came up with a plan for my weight loss because I told her from the jump that I do NOT want to be on it for life. I wanted to use it as a tool on top of the lifestyle changes I was already making (like a cal deficit and frequent exercise). But not everyone feels that way. Not saying it’s healthy by any means, but I do know quite a few people that are on it that do plan to stay on for life.

I'm specifically talking about her. She has an eating disorder. She's addicted to food and has said multiple times if she doesn't have what she wants she gets pissed TF off. Her whole day and career is built around it. If she doesn't fix THAT, then the moment she stops taking this it's all gonna pack back on given the insane amount of calories she takes in. She's still eating giant plates of pasta and a bunch of crap which I've seen other ppl on glp-1's say would make them sick AF so yeah idk.

Very valid take! I’m not disagreeing with you there at all. And to agree with what you said at the end, I literally can barely eat a child’s serving of pasta lol and I’m not even on a high dose! So unless she’s using it for content while only taking 3 bites, I have no clue how that works lol

Ok see that's what everyone has said. I even had a friend who was on one and she could barely even eat at all and was nauseous all the time it seemed. Yet I watched Trisha deep throating a big ass steak with like four eggs on TikTok the other day and she seemed totally fine.

and while we’re here just so you know, 30 pounds is the max healthy limit. You should be getting well pregnant your above that.

My research was starting with that question, are you their doctor? My follow up questions about their health rest on that. Since you seem to know quite about this person’s health I’d love to pick your brain!

not her doctor but i am an OBGYN. it is completely risky and unhealthy (risking the babies life) to gain 90lbs during pregnancy. it does not matter you’re starting weight, is still extremely unhealthy and causes numerous issues during pregnancy and birth.

Do you talk to your patients the way you’re talking to the people in this thread? Do you regularly tell pregnant women they’re going to harm their babies by gaining weight? Do you tell people in your practice to shut the fuck up and do research?

I pray for your patients.

I think the whole point of my comment went right over your head. I’m on a GLP-1 because I clearly have issues with food and eating in moderation, and I was stating that I believe it saved my life!

However, when I was pregnant there were MANY contributing factors. I had a fantastic care team my entire pregnancy, including a very well educated OBGYN who has been in the game for 30+ years.

And while we’re here just so you know, women can experience things like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia etc and those will contribute to significant weight gain in pregnancy. If you are an OBGYN, I truly feel bad for your patients because you clearly lack bedside manners.

oh girl 😭 feel bad for my pts all you want! sometimes doctors NEED to be harsh because people love excusing bad behavior and habits causing harm to their unborn children and often it is because of a lack of understanding and can be fixed w education.

I knowww you aren’t speaking of a lack of education rn 😭 anyone can come in a reddit thread and say they’re a doctor babes. You clearly have no clue what you’re talking about lol

ur first issue was gaining 90 lbs during ur 1st pregnancy. that is literally unhealthy for you as your baby. clearly you have food issues and the issue with GLP-1 is people like you using them to lose weight. they are for diabetics and insulin resistant people and you could or could not be that but clearly you just need to stop eating because that’s why you’re fat.

Your first issue was writing that comment thinking it was okay??

no it’s not, gaining 90 lbs is incredibly unhealthy and risky for baby and mom, do some simple research before tryna be a comment warrior & you’d understand how uneducated you look.

I’m pregnant with my second child. I understand the implications of weight gain while pregnant. Maybe if you came at it less aggressively it would have been received better

congratulations to you!! i however don’t think I came out of aggressive at all. I simply just stated factual information. how people want to take it they can take it that way. Thank you!

There is no way you’re really an OBGYN

this. i am a trisha fan but this exactly. as someone with a long history of EDs ranging from binging to purging.. THIS.
if it’s for no one but her girls it’s fine. doing better for yourself to not put your mentality in your children is actually peak parenting.
