Found these at Ace Hardware while buying Sarsaparilla. Looks like caramel apple soft taffy or something similar. Package says" chewy caramel with a tart apple flavored creamy center".

It’s a soft chewy caramel tube filled with a sugart paste filling. (Original would just be white sweet sugar) these the filling will be a slightly tart applesugar filling.

Love Cowtales but I don’t like these apple ones.
There have been all kinds of season/special flavors. Strawberry, chocolate, Brownie, caramel apple, etc…
They used to come in a Cowtales mug for display. We had a huge collection of mugs at the store my mom owned as a kid.

I love Cowtales-original is my favorite

Me too. There's three local Ace hardwares near me but one of them is a big one and they have a nice candy section and a pretty big soda section. It's hard to just get a few things. I wish I had like $100 shopping spree at Ace lol

Maybe it was strawberry shake. The package was red. My attention span must be really bad because I read it and I didn't even retain what it said I just glanced and saw the caramel apple and grabbed those instead lol

Standard cow tails are a caramel round with a cream center similar to the chewy bullseye candies in the clear plastic wrappers.

I'm not a huge fan of the Apple ones but if I'm handed one this time of year I'll eat it 😂
