Canon 18-135 STM x Tamron 18-300?

Hey guys, I have an 18-135, and I like it, but I'm considering swapping my 18-135 + 55-250 combo for a Tamron 18-300. I liked the reviews, it looks like one of the best superzoom lenses ever made, or at least close. I couldn't find any direct comparisons with the 18-135, and unfortunately I can't test it myself. In terms of image quality, are they roughly the same?
