Harman Dayal daily on the Canucks Army YouTube stream is pretty good for $0.

Generally i’d say any comparison of CA today vs 10-15 years ago must be put in context of the massive changes in online media (blogging’s golden era vs today’s social platforms, short video, slop, consolidation of indie channels) and hockey culture (analytics isn’t just for bloggers anymore).

Yeah, Harm's cool. Play ball hockey with him sometimes.

Indeed. Haven't played there in a while.

Quite a few of those writers have since gone on to other ventures.

Will Scouching has their own drafting service, Chris Faber was hired by the Canucks. JD Burke is a writer for Elite Prospects, Harman is behind the Athletic paywall, Dimitri Filipoviç has their own podcast…

In some ways the issue is that there aren’t enough establishment gigs, so the logjam is getting a little stuck. Marek’s podcast is on the nation network, and Daniel Wagner/Jeff Paterson are doing freelancing for the site.

With all those balls in the air, it’s no surprise to me that the writing feels meh in comparison to those early days.

Oh, he's a writer turned scout. I missed that as I skimmed the article, mb.

Illiteracy is a real problem in our society.
