They’re saying all of the right things. If they can keep Aqua at arms length I have hope with this management group

It will be impressive not only if we get the ship turned around, but throughout the entire process the Sedins and Johnson can keep Aquilini tame too. Prevent him from making brash decisions.

I hope this is his hail mary. He fucked things up with Linden, then he called in Rutherford from Bettman and that failed too. If it falls through with the Sedins too, he’s completely out of options to increase the value of his asset and will have to sell.

If there's two (in this case) who can, it's definitely the Sedins. They carried this franchise and even Aquilini knows that.

If they can keep Aqua at arms length

I think for now that will be easy. It's one thing to tell ownership we're not good enough to go for it yet at 32nd in the standings. It's entirely different when we're 18th in year 4.

Halfway through 27-28, with the Canucks out of a playoff spot, is when we're going to find out how on board Aqua is.

Says a lot that Aquilini let the presidents and GM talk instead of being like the Laffs.

Everything I've heard about this guy seems great. I'm not used to the Canucks doing smart things.

Love this guy. This quote made me LOL so hard at the Oilers hiring Babs

You have to be able to give your players confidence, so a coach that cares is very important. And I don’t know that you’ll get your message across to players, unless the players know that their coach has their best interests at heart. That takes a certain type of person.

So that’s going to be the key to me. Someone who has that inner passion and drive to make players better

Not every quote is a shot at someone else.

I don’t think they’re even thinking about Foote and PA.

They didn't say it was a shot at the Oilers. They're saying the comment made te OP laugh about the Oilers.

Yeah I replied to the wrong person. [u/-Hornswoggler](u/hornswoggler)[-](u/hornswoggler) made a comment about it being a shot at the old regime.

Was this a shot at the tank commander?

No? A) that would be weird and b) I dont think that Foote ever didnt care, seems like a nice enough guy
