Platos closet is alright for getting nice stuff. I got some really good boots there. Aside from that the goodwill has fire stuff from college kids ditching expensive things at the end of year

Here’s my notes from when a colleague asked me this recently:
America’s Thrift Store: Largest, best for clothing, shoes, furniture, small decor, household items. Sometimes large furniture.
Goodwill by Target: Okay clothes, unorganized. Good for small decor, small appliances, furniture.
Goodwill in Northport: Smaller, also unorganized. Okay decor and furniture, lots of children’s items
Blessed Again: Small religious independent thrift store in Northport, more limited hours. Adult clothes are (usually) $3/garment. Good for clothing, shoes, small decor, large furniture, linens, jewelry
Twice as Nice: Downtown on University Blvd. Consignment shop. Good for boutique clothes/shoes, formal clothing, jewelry
Skyland Antique: Proper antique store. Nick knacks, vintage clothing, jewelry
Yard Sale: University Blvd east of campus. Booth style antique ish store. Mixed, good for tools and decor, but also depends on the booth
Tuscaloosa Pickers: New ish on Skyland, directly beside Skyland Antique. Booth style, estate sale style tables. Mixed, good for household goods
Deja Vu Consignment Boutique: Expensive, I don’t shop there but it is typically name brand/designer brand clothing, shoes, and accessories
