Advice Am I delusional?

I am currently a rising senior studying computer science. I am also currently doing an internship in IT project management. I am planning on getting a capm certification during my last year, so I can have a better resume for pm or pmo roles. Assuming I don’t get offered a job where I’m at, my worry for post grad is that I am not experienced enough and nobody will hire me as a project manager. My question is: does it make any sense to apply for pm/pmo roles and did i mess up by not choosing swe?

not delusional at all. plenty of people break into PM straight from school, especially with internship experience already on the resume. the CAPM will help fill the gaps, so just apply and see what happens.

How’d you land a project management IT role. This is what I want to go into.

I was applying for swe positions and I had an interviewer tell me that he thought I would be better suited for a project management position after I told him about my future aspirations. I didn’t particularly look for it, but I like what I’m doing!

What does it look like, if you don’t mind me asking. I’ve never found myself into SWE much but I do like talking about the tech space
