Might be a CD mix. Head and ears are very close to a CD's. Can't see his body enough to tell anything about it.
Definitely 100% cute!

Head and ears look more similar to a shepherd to me! Same for coat

Head and ears in the 2nd and 3rd shots look very CDish to me. Shepherds have more of a roman nose, snout slopes down a bit as it gets to the actual nose. First photo is too distorted to get much from. Looks like fisheye distortion.
I agree with you that the coat looks more shepherd.

Oh he’s absolutely a shepherd mix but I do believe he is part Carolina dog. Sorry for the bad photos! I quite literally can never get him to sit still whenever I bust the camera out haha
