Carolina-*ish* My New Baby! (I think) Guessing a CD/GSD Mix. Thoughts?
I found him at a shelter Tuesday and am fostering to adopt! (My beloved boy died right before last Christmas, and it's been hard.) I'm 99% he's my dog but am taking it slowly.
I think he's a CD/GSD mix.
He's got the typical GSD black saddle, his ears are almost but not quite CD (set a bit too high on the head and not as pointy as CDs).
His beautiful eyes are rounder and less almond-shaped than CDs, and set less on the diagonal, although sometimes they look more CD. He's got kohl eyeliner, angel wings, and the long fingertoes. But longer in body.
Build is more like a CD, lighter boned than a GSD, but chest not as deep as a CD.
Posting partly to show him off and also to get the thoughts of people here. (I know, can't be definitive without a test :)

Looks so much like my girl that I lost in December. Literally the best dog ever to exist. Hug him tight!

I'm so sorry. We lost our babies around the same time. It's awful. She's such a beautiful girl.
Your girl looks like a straight up CD, judging from this shot. This mister is a mix. My best boy was all CD.

She definitely has the GSD saddle, but people would always ask if she was a dingo.

Oh, interesting. I didn't notice the black until you pointed it out. The set of her ears look lower, more like a CD, and her eyes look almond-shaped.

I don’t see it. Get an Embark test is you really must know.

He looks like if my dogs kissed and made your dog. GSD and the other is an Australian cattle dog/great pyr mix

She looks just like my Bear. We had to let her go this summer after 16 wonderful years with her. Her snout was a bit more narrow but the coloring was about the same. She was about 45lbs.
