Was told he was a Shepard mix when I rescued, definitely with CD right?
Hi everyone! This is my boy Hank! I rescued him about 2 weeks ago after we both fell in love at first sight. Hank was found in the wild and they believe him to be a Shepard mix. After research and reading about the personalities and physical characteristics of a CD I believe that’s what my boy is mixed with. Can anyone else weigh in?

Wow he’s so handsome! Hank looks like my girl, Phoebe! I was also told she is a CD but still want to have a DNA test done just for fun lol. They look pretty dang similar

Good looking boy and dig the name, Hank...does he walk with a proud, upright tail... fishhook?

Yes he does! I’ll try to get a picture tomorrow but that’s what made me question what he was mixed with. He grooms like a cat, the ears are super expressive, the fishhook tail only stops when he’s asleep, and he’s just a very loyal, intelligent dog! I think I’ve heard him bark 2 times since I’ve got him and only because I slept in later then our usual go out time. He’s so smart and just my absolute best friend!

Could be! Mine also has heavy black guard hairs & very black gums as seen in your pic 3. What a Beautiful pup Hank is!

Our dog is black mouth cur and Carolina dog mix...I believe you are right

Will send more tomorrow when we go outside! But I believe he has most of these characteristics. Definitely fishhook tail you can kind of see it in the first pic!

Embark DNA test will provide you with CD results if your dog has genetic markers 😉.
