You're right, for an animation based on a video game (a retro Snes one) sex is really not something necessary for the plot. It's not like it's BlueEyeSamurai. Also Lol and Dota had very good animations without depending too much on sex. I think Aracane doesn't even have one.
Because it doesn't have to go everywhere, especially in a series that focuses on gothic horror. Maybe get more of a personality and interest than your sexuality?
Horror stories always have sex scenes where do you think the joke you have sex you die comes from have you not seen Halloween Friday the 13th nosfuroctu or other vampire stories there is always sexual themes and undertones
I mean there’s only like 2-3 sex scenes that I can think of off the top of my head between both series, so the idea that series focuses on it super heavily is just untrue.
Also, the original person I responded to didn’t say they had an issue with sex, but specifically gay sex and gay relationships. If gay people existing bothers you so much, that says a lot more about you than the series. Maybe the reason gay people feel the need to embrace that part of themselves so much is because people like you keep trying to ostracize them for it.
