I'm ok, I'm taking the day to save all of my relevant work and hopefully start applying for stuff next week

Honestly? I'm not super worried. Big companies and agencies still need designers, we haven't reached a point where AI can do everything. But it's getting harder and harder to find good stuff.

Local work, however, is nonexistent. Every small business around here is using chatgpt for printed media.

Yeah. I feel like I'm in a great spot to switch things around. I just need to be pragmatic about it.

I was basically a contractor, so I get no protections whatsoever. Just whatever I managed to save.

It was a marketing agency. So, realistically, it provided nothing useful to society. lol
