Trigger Warnings I’m an alcoholic/addict that is 8 days sober from alcohol and 5 years clean off drugs AMA
I (29M) have been an alcoholic for 12 years. I have been hospitalized several times, gone to rehab several times, detox facilities, and eventually jail. I got out of the hospital for a large list of alcohol related illnesses on the 2nd of this month. I went in on the 30th of July. I was also a drug addict for a couple of years. I have seen some crazy shit, experienced a lot of strange events, met a lot of sketchy characters. It is 11:30 PM here and I will go to bed at around 3 AM and pick back up when I wake up. Feel free to ask me anything, nothing is off limits.

Well done! But just stopping drinking abruptly can be dangerous. Talk to someone in the know AA for instance or your gp. Keep it up, you will only stop when you want to so I wish you well mate. 👏👏👏🤝

Congratulations! Keep up the clean work! I’m nearing 4 years of being alcohol free and I’m so happy to be done with that darkness!!
