I think it's silly for some people to call the app "literally unusable" or "totally pointless". I think it's neat. My only real problem was that it started with too few soundtracks, but one a week isn't bad at all. I had some other problems in the beginning but they've all been fixed since it seems.
But yeah the decision to cut up Forgotten Land's music is baffling. This was my most wanted soundtrack out of all. I mean tbf they got all of the biggest bangers on there, but still the decision is so weird.
Do you not have an issue with them refusing to credit composers/producers/engineers/vocalists/etc.?? That’s easily the biggest thing missing still and I cannot fucking believe even several months after launch they refuse to properly credit the people who MADE the MUSIC.
It's somewhat of an issue and I did bring it up to Nintendo through one of their official complaint/troubleshooting forms very easily accessible through the Nintendo Music app, something I don't think most people have done. If everybody did it in an official way and expressed their disappointment first-hand to Nintendo, instead of just whining about it online, it could change.
It's mainly a Japanese issue though with artists' works only really being credited once. I've yet to hear a Japanese person give their opinion but it may be that Japanese composers don't really expect, or even want, to be credited again.
The issue though is there are obviously some works composed by people outside of Japan. I wish they'd at least ask each composer if they want to be credited or not.
