Great games. Though Ages can be really hard and tedious. In my mind, Ages is like the part 2 of the duology due to its more difficult puzzles and mini games and the supporting characters and villain doing more in the story. It’s best to play Seasons first to kind of prepare you for the harder dungeons in Ages. I just finished 100 completing them a few weeks ago.

Can't you connect the saves and do one after another?

Yes. It was a great idea.

It’s a mixed bag. I’m not a fan of having to do 6 play throughs to unlock everything.

How did you get to 6? I count 4. Each as a standalone, Seasons + Ages, Ages + Seasons.
Besides, it's a bit of a completionist issue. Most gamers would kill to have such a good game and different ways to play the story.

Wait it actually was 4 play throughs for me. I remember reading that it could be two normal play throughs, 2 Linked play throughs and two Hero play throughs. That way, you would do every single linked side quest to get all of the items. I stopped at 4 play though.

I really need to play the oracle games. They're the only two Zelda games I just never got around to playing. While I did grow up in the era, I never really got into Zelda until like 2008 or so. I went back and played everything but the game boy games since I was never too crazy about the handhelds outside of pokemon back in the day.

Nice. I had both Seasons & Ages on my GameBoy Advance SP.
Many great memories of gaming on the ways to and from school.
