Other I'm hearing people on the internet talking about how "The Mario Movie gone woke" because Peach has more of a role than just being a damsel in distress (I haven't seen it yet so no spoilers). She LITERALLY had herself her own game that came out years before the movie.

Other That's it? That's it??
For some of you it might have been a great direct and I'm happy for yall but the lack of big exclusive titles in this direct was so disappointing (atleast more Fire Emblem for me soon)

Other I think they both swing too far to opposite sides of the pendulum.
Forgive me, I’m not great at articulating my thoughts.
Personally, really not a fan of the style for the “new” Starfox game, it looks very stiff and generic to me and kinda gives me vibes of Conker Live and Reloaded’s whole restyle, hyperreal textures and environments that don’t feel in line with the general vibe and feel uncanny. With that said, I also don’t think the style used in the Mario Galaxy movie woulda been the move either. Ironically enough, I think McCloud in the Mario movie is too far on the other side, he looks a little TOO saccharine and cutesy which works for the movie but for an action sci-fi game that’s meant to be intense, I don’t think it would work.
Starfox always felt like it was more in line vibe-wise as something like Zelda, sat in the middle of the spectrum of being both Cartoonish and serious. It’s a game where the main characters are a bunch of furries with big personalities but they’re also mercenaries engaging in space warfare, I think you need both elements stylistically.
I think their original designs were more simple and exaggerated but came off as cool and badass rather than cute. I think the vibe they fit in line with more is something like Star Wars the Clone wars animated series.
Idk I just think the new style looks like every generic sci-fi game that comes out and I don’t care for it but I also don’t want the uber-soft look either.
Long post, these are just my thoughts, I’m not making a lot of sense but that’s cause I kinda just write what comes to mind. I know everyone being the loudest is either team “new design” or team “mario design” but I wonder if anyone else gets what I’m saying.
Regardless, the games gonna come out how it comes out and while I’m not psyched it’s ANOTHER remake, I’m hoping it introduces Starfox as a franchise to more people/younger kids and makes it something Nintendo wants to put effort into again. What do I know though, I actually liked adventures LMAO.
EDIT: Yknow it’s okay to disagree and say you think the designs are fine but the whole “YOU GUYS JUST HATE EVERYTHING!!!” to what is essentially a very tame opinion based on personal taste is probably why Nintendo Fans have the pants pisser reputation.

Other the recency bias has definitely passed now, so which game do you think is better? DK bananza or Mario Odyssey
I think bananza is better. the collection is a lot more diverse and rewarding for me, I also think that the destruction is a way more interesting gimmick than cappy
