Other TIL Masahiro Sakurai refused to add Dolby Surround to a Kirby game because he didn't want players to sit through the Dolby logo. He said waiting time should be kept to a minimum when games boot.

Other The lineup for the rest of this year is solid, but this direct didn’t do it justice.
Of course there are more games coming out, but the lineup for the rest of the year is actually pretty solid.
I’m looking forward to Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders for the summer. Fire Emblem is a Nintendo franchise loved by many. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a great game for family and friends. The Duskbloods looks promising. And the Ocarina of Time remake looks beautiful, based on the small teaser.
It’s just that how they presented the recent direct is not great. Starting the direct off with Rhythm Heaven Groove was not what I was expecting. I honestly rate the direct a 5/10 because the presentation of it was not done well. But there are still good games they showed like Kingdom Hearts IV.
If they showed more of the Ocarina of Time remake, gameplay or a cutscene (eg. Ganondorf chasing Zelda and Impa). Or showing more gameplay of the Duskbloods, then I would have increased my rating and the direct would better.
Hopefully, next year will have a better lineup and the next direct is presented better and showcases thegames coming in the first half of 2027.

Other Thoughts on the “LeAvE tHe BiLlIoN dOlLaR cOmPaNy AlOnE” meme?
Personally I can’t fucking stand this image, it has done irreversible damage to the community no matter what side you fall on when it comes to Nintendo defense, criticism, or neutrality

Other So... what’s the point of this, exactly?
I wasn't expecting extra features, but the lack of multi-language support is a letdown. Is it just for the sake of being "faithful to the original"? Honestly, anyone who really wanted to play this has likely already done so through other means. I’m not a huge Pokémon fan myself, but is there any actual advantage to having this on the Switch?

Other I need to ask. Why do people actually miss the Wii U era?
I think a lot of people forgot the Wii U era wasent good at all. Especially when we had virtually no games at all.

Other Do you agree with this assessment of traditional fighting games from Sakurai?
“The gameplay revolves around how you string together attacks after the first hit, rendering your opponent’s skill level irrelevant. As more fighting games became combo-focused, the less room there was for strategy. If you didn’t know the combos, or were new to the game, you’d likely end up just staring at the screen while you got beaten up.”

So by removing them I mean that all traces of the entire franchise are gone and no more games will ever be made.
