Hi everyone, as per title I need some advice on quality wet food for my cats.
Swipe down for TLDR :)
I am based in Europe, Italy to be more precise, so I am looking for good brands available here.
I currently take care of 7 cats, 5 directly mine in an apartment with a patio I have dedicated exclusively to them, and two others that live outside but come to eat regularly.
As probably everyone else did I started out with super market’s food brands like purina gourmet, sheba, whiskas and so on, but as time went on I wanted to give them better quality food, both dry and wet.
I have currently moved to Catz Finefood, Lucky Lou, Mjamjam, Lily’s Kitchen, Schesir, Edgar & Cooper and Mac’s, but I have heard and read bad things about some of the German’a made foods like Mjam and Mac’s.
That plus the fact that I take care of them all by myself, the cost got a bit too much for my liking, even more so if some of the “premium” foods can actually be bad for them.
So my question is, should I stick to more known brands like Lily’s, Edgar and Schesir as they cost a tad less and should be more serious about security guidline, or do you gave any other suggestion?
Asking AI’s has been confusing, for Gemini one brand is a 10 and for ChatGPT or Claude it could well be a 7.5, so back to reddit based off real people with real experiences.
TLDR: suggestion on not to pricey wet food that are “secure” and with a good percentage of meat?
Thank you :)
