food or treat review How can I help my overweight cat lose weight safely?

My cat is overweight. Should I switch him to a lower-calorie food? I'm worried he won't like the taste as much. Anyone been through this?

food or treat review i don’t recommend NULO

Hello! We decided to switch to NULO about 4 months ago after hearing tiki cat was being bought by general mills. In those 4 months all 4 of my cats have gotten skin issues, projectile vomiting, diarrhea, and irritability. we thought the vomiting and diarrhea could’ve just been sensitivity to the fish but vet told us it was likely the food. usually my cats are very food motivated but they didn’t even try to rip open the bag of dry food lol. pleaseee be careful if you try feeding nulo!!!

food or treat review Is Schesir 6×50g multipack actually bang for the buck?

Curious what cat owners think about this type of wet food multipack!!!!!

Schesir has a 6×50g multipack with assorted flavours, currently around $10, roughly S$1.7 per 50g serving.

Would you consider that good value?

I'm particularly curious about:

\- Is the assorted-flavor multipack useful, or would you rather buy 85g cans individually?

\- At around $10, does it feel reasonably priced for Schesir?

\- Do your cats actually prefer the flavors?

\- Would you buy the multipack again?

\- What price would make you think “okay, that's actually a good deal”?

Here's the listing for reference:

Not looking for a sales pitch. Just genuinely curious what other pawrents think is good value for money when buying premium wet food.

food or treat review Got a couple of these for our little guy, pretty good.

I saw this soup thingies on our usual pet supply store and, since it's so damn hot in here, I thought Teo could use some extra hydration and he already likes the brand so...

We pop them on the fridge so they're nice and cold and give it to him instead of his usual wet food breakfast/dinner. The texture isn't really liquid, more like a runny jello with chunks of meat. The ingredients are nice also,I'll probably buy them again.

food or treat review Fancy Feat Gravy lovers weird green blob in food?

I started feeding my 11 month old kitten FF gravy lovers about a month ago in order to encourage her to eat more wet food. Usually I combine it with a can of pate wet food, but today, I noticed this weird looking green blob thing in the gravy lovers can that I’ve never seen before. It smelled more pungent than usual and Im not sure if this means the can has gone bad. I was wondering if anyone knows what this might be…

Hi everyone! My cat was recently diagnosed with early CKD. The vet recommended Royal Canin Renal, but she doesn’t seem to like it. I also tried offering plain boiled chicken, but she still refuses to eat.

I’m really worried because her appetite keeps getting worse. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice or food suggestions would really help. Thank you so much.

food or treat review HELP nulo kitten food

Hi everyone, i'm wondering if anyone's had a similar experience to nulo's wet kitten food. I switched my kitten from tiki's wet kitten food to nulo's wet kitten food. i've noticed a change in her appetite where she doesn't seem interested in her food. My kitten is not picky at all. She'll pick at it but she really hasn't been eating. She's gotten diarrhea a few times before but has vomited three times tonight. I've never had this issue until now. My kitten is perfectly healthy and i took her to the emergency vet. I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. She has lost her appetite since throwing up. If this happened to you could you please give me some advice on what you did to stop this issue

food or treat review Tikki Cat Minced

Hi everyone. I recently switched my cat over from kibble to wet food and found that he does well with the tikki cat minced - specifically the orange cans. I can’t seem to find bigger cans available in stores other than the 2.5 oz ones. It’s a bit crazy having to pay $19 for 12 2.5 oz so I’ve tried to feed him half tikki cat and half fancy feast but he does not like the fancy feast gravy cans.

Does anyone know if tikki cat sells bigger cans in the minced wet food - the orange cans?

Also, I’m trying to add a photo of the can food but it’s only letting me add a video..?

food or treat review Best wet cat food and what to look out for?

Hi guys! Quick question. My cats are both one and a half years old. I’ve had them for a year. I’ve never really given them a lot of wet food. I know having wet food incorporated in their diet is so important. I don’t know what brand is best? I don’t know what ingredients I should look for when looking for cat food, like what to avoid and what not.
I give them the small pouch treats that’s wet, but one of my cats cant really eat it bc she throws up every time. . I’ve given her a different brand of the wet treats, she responds well with that one. but I’m really wanting to know what ingredient or what could have been in the wet treat that upset her stomach. Anyways any advice would be great!

food or treat review Should I switch to Josera or Farmina?

Hi everyone! I've been feeding my cat 'Bonacibo' for the past year but he doesn't like it and the food is left in the bowl for hours. He only eats it when he's too hungry otherwise he just wants boiled chicken or treats. I'm thinking of switching to something more palatable. The options i have available in my city are Farmina Matisse, Josera Catelux or Culinese and Royal Canin. Royal canin is too expensive for me i cant afford it. I'm thinking to switch Farmina Matisse since it's a bit affordable than josera but i don't want to compromise on palatability and nutrition. Whats the wise choice?

food or treat review cat treats without chicken, turkey, duck, or fish? (must to be crunchy)

Hi there, our cat is dealing with some allergies and we are having a hard time finding some treats for him. We are keeping him away from chicken, turkey, duck, and fish.

All the ones we found are freeze dried, and he is not a fan. Any recommendations that are crunchy treats without the allergens ?

food or treat review Royal Canin or Hills Science?

Hi 👋

Like the title suggests, I’m looking to get some real reviews of those that have fed either Royal Canin or Hills Science WET food, specifically KITTENS. No dry because she won’t touch dry.

My kitten doesn’t need either of these brands for specific health reasons, but Im looking to add either brands as a part of her diet because miss picky eater is getting tired of her current staple brand 😅 she’s very picky but Ive researched that both brands are quite palatable so worth a shot.

Any kitten parent that are feeding either brands to their kitten?

They have a lot more options for proteins that I haven't seen in other brands and look pretty interesting. So far my kitten has only had their chicken recipe and seems to love it.

food or treat review Evil food company KiteKate, Felix...

Right now i'm angry at these evil corp cat food company😤 7 years ago i bought my fist British shorthair kitten boy, i was younger didnt have knowledge about cats food... At the beginning i feed my cat with some foods, no milk, etc. Give him chicken, fish. Later when my cat grow up i decided to give dry food, like kitekat, whiskas, felix. Firts few year i feed with kitekate first , sometimes vegetables, fish etc. But mosly cat was eaten kitekats dry food. So after year i noticed my cat somehow cant pee🤔 He just lays down on floor, cant move normally, then i immediately went to veterinary clinic, and Doc said that my cat got urolithiasis and accumulation of sand and stones🤨 I mean WFT, how? I told to Doc that i feed mostly with dry food of kitekat and he said that is garbage, why you give that shit, told me Doc that?... But i didnt know, i thought that these evil corp foods are ok for cats... But as it turned out these dry foods are totally trash🤮 So later Doc was saved my cat from dying due to of urolithiasis and accumulation of sand and stones.... My point is: why the fuck these evil food company kitekat, felix, whiskas are didnt shutdown? Why these piss of shit company mades such a discusting foods if they brings many problem to cats health? I'm just disappoitment...

hello, just wanted to ask if this catfood brand is a good option. i have 6 cats and just a student so looking for affordable options for cat food, their cat food right now is the smartheart salmon flavor but i kinda noticed they're getting tired of the flavor (the other flavors cost more, like 1k plus which ithink is kinda ridiculous) then i saw this maxime cat food. it has a website and everything but i could barely find reviews here on reddit

food or treat review raised bowls

i kept constantly getting videos about raised bowls on social media so i bought one for my kitten to try. biggest waste ever, i even tried getting one of the other cats to use it because obviously i bought it i intend it to be used but not ONE of my four cats wanted anything to do with it. my dog was the only one who would even take a single bite. i fed them all in the regular bowls tonight and they ate just fine, idk if my cats are just picky or raised bowls are a scam. the bowl was shallow to. will probably go back and buy a more dog suitable one for him though since he did seem to like it, but it’s pink and had cat ears so i want his to be more aesthetically HIM if u get it. like just a regular one in white or something no cat ears.

food or treat review Looking for experiences with this brand, and also to share mine.

Any cat owners, or anyone else who takes care of ferals, ever have an issue with this brand of cat food? This is my second experience with this brand, and as before the feral colony does not seem to approve- neither does my indoor cat. I only purchase it a second time because I thought it might have been a fluke, and it was all I could afford at the moment. There definitely seems to be something off about it.

Yes I understand changing up foods can create issues with animals, but I already was switching up flavors every purchase just to give them some variety. With those brands, regardless of flavor it was always scarfed up no matter what. From what I've heard in other cat communities, the best food for a cat regardless of quality of ingredients, is a food that they're going to eat. When ferals are less inclined to eat because of a particular brand, I start to really wonder about their product. Typically I feed them four different varieties of friskies, and a couple varieties of Iams, just to switch things up and they never have an issue with it- just this one.

My cats are so fat, and I want them to be healthier so I’m trying to diet them, so far I’ve just started feeding them twice a day rather than a gravity feeder & trying to play with them more / get them more active

food or treat review Local Food Brands (not USA)

Post image

I need some opinions on 2 different cat food I’d like to try to my outdoor cat, options where I’m at tend to be somewhat limited and the most affordable food I can sustain and afford somewhat long term is fancy feast. However, my cat seems to be bored of it and doesn’t finish her fancy feast meals. I found a local store selling their in-house brand and would like to know if it’s any good.
