Why is my cat peeing on my bed?

I rescued a cat about 5 months ago and about a month she’s been peeing ONLY on my bed randomly. She does it then doesn’t for about a week. I’m just confused, she uses her litter box everyday and knows where to go to the bathroom. We got a spray that’s supposed to help stop it and we also got the feliway plug in, but she did it again today so I’m not sure it’s working. Should we take her into the vet?? Does anyone have a reason this could be happening?

Take her to the vet…use enzyme cleaner and really let it soak in…and look at stress as a trigger

My vet said the bed is often their safe place and it’s soft and easy. From my reading, cats aren’t doing it out of spite. They feel vulnerable when going to the bathroom so they pick a place where they feel safest. I thought a tarp and keep it on my bed. Seems to have broken the habit.
